Doja Cat + Saweetie Join French Montana For “Handstand”

After shaking the game, French Montana unleashes the big screen-worthy music video for his new single “Handstand” [feat. Doja Cat & Saweetie] today. It remains a standout from his critically acclaimed new album, They Got Amnesia, out now via Epic Records/Bad Boy Entertainment. Watch the music video HERE.

FrenchDoja Cat, and Saweetie have all done some crazy visuals, but this might just be the craziest yet! This time around, these three titans meet in a post-apocalyptic future. Doja Cat delivers the hook clad in a metal bikini top outfitted with machine guns like a 21st century BarbarellaFrench pulls up right between warring factions with infectious ironclad bars, while Saweetie raps in front of a city in flames.  You need to see it to believe it.

“Handstand” has posted up close to 7 million streams since the record’s arrival in November and ignites an instantly twerkable refrain over slick production. The two hottest female MCs in the game tag team the beat with raunchy and raucous bars before French pulls up with a hypnotic verse of his own. In addition, just last week “Handstand” was the most-added record at Urban radio in the US.

They Got Amnesiawhich is executive produced by Hitmaka and Rick Steele, has already generated hundreds of millions of streams and received widespread critical acclaim. Rolling Stone raved, French makes sure we never forget that his bona fides are bulletproof,” and Complex assured, French Montana is here to remind the rap game of exactly who he is with his fourth studio album,” and Revolt noted French “picked the perfect time to remind the naysayers what he’s always been capable of.” Billboard declared, French Montana has carved out a fruitful lane in hip-hop over the past decade, offering rambunctious anthems alongside major collaborators and building hits around tough talk and ad-libs.” Vibe promised it “exceeds expectations as a body work worthy of multiple spins.”

French Montana’s most personal album to date, They Got Amnesia opens in the literal “ICU,” and takes listeners on a journey through redemption, detailing his story through recovery over the past several years. The record kicks into high gear with the head-nodding “How You King.” Elsewhere, “Touch The Sky” with John Legend & Rick Ross reaches the heavens with a fluttering refrain and bossed-up rhymes from Rozay. Then, there’s “Push Start, which shines with a sizzling guest spot from Coi Leray. Serving up a sequel to his 2016 double-platinum smash “Lockjaw,” he reteams with Kodak Black for the red hot “Mopstick.” Then, there’s “Stuck In The Jungle” with Pop Smoke Lil DurkFrench links back up with the late Pop Smoke and Lil Durk for a bold banger punctuated by a catchy lyrical crossfire. The whole project concludes with the soulful and reflective “Losing Weight.” In the end, the album delivers a message to fans to appreciate life and everything that comes along with it.
