Directed by Stephen Agnew, the video embraces low-lit lighting, upside down camera work and more, seamlessly edited together to appear as one continuous shot – the perfect visual accompaniment for the track.
The release of “Signals” has been widely celebrated as Kwabs highly anticipated return. Upon release, BBC Radio 1’s Clara Amfo selected the single as her “Hottest Record In The World,” and the track achieved 1.5 million + streams within the its first week, as well as breaking into the top 40 on the iTunes chart.
With both the single and official music video out now, “Signals” by Regard x Kwabs, continues to drum up excitement.
Regard recently received an American Music Awards nomination in the category of Favorite Dance/Electronic Act, alongside names like ILLENIUM, Marshmello and Tiesto. Favours is made up of Jacq Andrade, Alexander Zen and Mark Andrade. They released their first LP Made to Wait in 2020. Their song “Stowaway” was featured on Netflix and CBC Gem. Victoria Anthony released her latest single and music video, “Bad for Me”, which cleverly blends throwback 2000s Pop influences with fresh production and a passionate and moving vocal performance.

The track is her third single and video release of 2021. “Dirty Lipstick” and “How Cute”, released earlier this year, have garnered over 1.5 million streams and video views to date.
“Bad For Me” is about navigating new relationships and discovering ourselves in that process. Anthony sings about young love and how youthful infatuation might have you wondering if you have made the wrong choice.
The song was co-written by Victoria along with Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen, Simple Plan) and mixed by GRAMMY® award winner Tony Maserati (Beyoncé, Alicia Keys).
“Writing ‘Bad for Me’ was a whirlwind and a very different experience from other songs I’ve written,” says Victoria. “I approach songwriting in many ways, but this song was like a tidal wave of thoughts and emotions that I just put out there shamelessly. The chorus is a flow of my thoughts at the time I was falling for the person I was writing about”.
The 16-year-old singer/songwriter has been attentive to every aspect of her music releases since she started in 2019. She has taken the lead on songwriting, recording, branding, and visual aesthetics related to everything from the album artwork and singles covers, to co-directing her videos.
“Bad For Me” is the fourth music video Victoria has conceptualized, written, and co-directed.
Toronto-based singer-songwriter/producer Chris Grey released a music video for his emotionally charged new R&B/Pop single “Seamless”.

The video, which was also directed by Grey, is a Hollywood-inspired action drama in which he believes he has pulled off the perfect crime, only to find his best-laid plans coming undone.
Innocuously assuming the role of entertainer during an upper-class dinner party, Grey and his accomplice execute a daring heist before the video concludes with a thrilling twist.
The impetus for the sultry track came from a simple conversation between Grey and his girlfriend, recording artist Allegra Jordyn, who co-stars in the video with him.
“Allegra and I had recently crossed the line between being friends and co-writers to dating,” Chris explains. “We were just musing about being seamless together and how easily we had moved from working together to being a couple. All of a sudden she started singing ‘with you it’s just seamless’ and immediately realized we had the making of a cool song. We got out of bed and instantly started bouncing off rhymes and writing the song. The song came together seamlessly!”
Opening with an alluring violin passage, Grey’s velvety-smooth falsetto vocals pair perfectly with the atmospheric production of the song. The track builds up to an unexpected finale — with Chris’ vocals on the bridge eventually morphing into a punchy, guitar-riff-driven ending performed by Oscar Rangel, former live bassist for the iconic Canadian metal band Annihilator and current guitarist for symphonic metal band Operus.
As a producer, the prolific 20-year-old has lent his talents to a wide array of leading to an enviable list of credits and millions of streams from the producer’s chair, including two tracks on 88GLAM’s JUNO Award-nominated album New Mania.
But most recently, Grey has been dropping tracks under his own name, combining years of collaboration, experimentation, and success into a compelling and innovative sound of his own.

With his new single “Red Lips”, Canadian recording artist Neon Jesus opts for a road rarely travelled, fusing blues-inspired guitar with the relentless pulse of electronic dance music. And though the pairing is historically unconventional, the result is an electrifying, genre-defying track, ultimately leaving an indelible mark on the listener.
The idea to meld the two genres together came to the artist during a time when he called New York City home. As an avowed attendee of live music in the city, he noticed one significant, albeit very telling difference in terms of reaction:
“I’d be out at a rock show and while people were attentive and taking everything in, the crowd’s reaction was rather lackluster, even amid great artists before them,” Neon Jesus says. “But then I’d head to a rave in Brooklyn and it struck me that people there were uninhibited and just generally more invested in what they were listening to. That was when I started to wonder what would happen if someone were to bring the two genres together.”
While more than capably skilled at the electric guitar, electronic music, admittedly, was uncharted territory for Neon Jesus from a production perspective. But rather than mindlessly following the capricious trends of generic dance music, the singer-songwriter invested his time to understand the foundations of electronic music and formulate his own beats to compliment his guitar playing.
His unique approach to production garnered the attention of New York dance music producer Abe Duque, the notorious pioneer of Deep House. Under the mentorship of Duque, Neon Jesus was exposed to the subversive world of underground dance music. Together, they created a live sound of synthesizers and drum machines with Neon Jesus on guitar.
Their performances blurred the boundaries between blues and electronic music as they played off one another in the same improvisational spirit as two jazz titans one-upping each other on stage. Their rare and exciting sound carried the pair from New York to Berlin, where Neon Jesus became the first artist to play electric guitar at Berlin’s legendary house of techno, Berghain. These ground-breaking performances ultimately laid the foundation for “Red Lips” and other tracks from his upcoming debut album, Tabula Rasa.
Driven by a heavy kick drum Neon Jesus colors “Red Lips” with juicy guitar lines, as he distills the track down to the essence of both genres he so brilliantly fuses together.
On Lukaijah’s newest track, “Sacred Warriors,” he taps into the efficacious energy it takes to overcome apathy and stand strong to protect that which is innocent and pure. Although there are forces that attempt to hold people back and make them feel defeated, the anthemic song helps listeners to become tenacious and unite in solidarity to serve that which is sacred. Booming beats and sizzling synths create an atmosphere that is ripe for re-sparking the indwelling fires of courage and inspiration. As he spits rhymes with exceptional precision, he infuses every lyric and turns of phrase with a soul provoking call to bravery, strength, and heart-centered leadership.
