Dreamville and Kehlani – “Shadows”: The song “Shadows” is the 15th track off of the 18 tracks body of work Project, “Creed III: The Soundtrack,” which is shaping up to be an impressive album. The movie is also worth checking out just quietly. From the production to Kehlani who delivers some breathtaking verses, this song is one you want on your playlist.

Macklemore – “LOST / SUN COMES UP (feat. Jackson Lee Morgan)”:LOST / SUN COMES UP” is a two-part track that is the ninth overall on Macklemore’s studio album, Ben. I love the production on this, and Macklemore’s album “Ben” is definitely one you want to check out.

Bebe Rexha – “Heart Wants What It Wants”: This track hail from singer and songwriter Bebe Rexha from her third studio album “Bebe”. It was penned by Rexha, Bonnie McKee, Ido Zmishlany, Jussi Karvinen, Liana Banks, Ray Goren, Ryan Williamson and Sarah Solovay, with the production completed by Zmishlany.

Jess Glynne – “Silly Me”: This song was written and produced by Jes with Knox Brown, P2K, and Malay, and is the first single released through EMI Records and management group Roc Nation after the release of the contract with Atlantic Records. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Jess spoke about the meaning behind the song saying;

“It’s like saying, ‘I went through life and I learned, you know? […] I picked the wrong people and I did the wrong jobs. I got here and I experienced it. But I had to do it to get here. And I think everyone needs to be less hard on themselves, as I said in Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself […] I find myself saying this line a lot.”

Bonny Light Horseman – “Deep In Love”: This might actually be one of my favourite songs of this year I have to admit. This is the second song from Bonny Light Horseman’s debut, and it’s a song about (deep) love, and has been popping up in a lot of Romantic films as of late. It’s one worth checking out, so much meaning and and emotional drive.

Post Malone – “Chemical”: This track is from rapper and singer Post Malone. It was released through Republic and Mercury Records as the lead single from his upcoming self-titled fifth studio album, Austin. The song was produced by Malone himself, Andrew Watt, and Louis Bell, and the three wrote it alongside Billy Walsh.

J-Hope – “On The Street (feat. J. Cole)”: “On the Street” is a song by South Korean rapper J-Hope of BTS and American rapper J. Cole. The hip hop track was written by J-Hope, Cole, and Pdogg, who also served as producer. Lyrically the song is an ode to J-Hope’s artistic roots and the intersection of his love for street dance and hip hop. Cole’s verse follows a similar theme, detailing his journey as an artist and the evolution of his craft.

Ro James – “Permission”: This is an old song but I only discovered it during a screening of ‘Magic Mikes Last Dance’. “Permission” is Ro James’ debut single after signing with RCA Records. In the song, Ro asks his lady to consent to him giving her the love that she deserves. Great track and productions on this one.
