Can you tell us about your journey from reality TV to becoming a top real estate agent in Las Vegas? What inspired you to make this career transition?
Having my masters & not even knowing what to use it for, I was kinda in a rut. One night my now husband and I were chatting and I mentioned maybe getting into real estate. With Brent being the top lender in Vegas, it only made sense. The downfall, I didn’t know my left from right in this city. I literally started with NOTHING. Because of that, I kinda feel like I have bragging rights on how successful I’ve become.
Moving to a new city without connections can be challenging. How did you build your network and reputation within the real estate industry in Las Vegas?
I actually had to talk to people, lol. I remember my first client – who is now a great friend. We were at a Super Bowl party and someone had asked me, “So, what do you do for work?” When I told them I did real estate, the rest was history. That relationship blossomed to me helping her purchase three properties and endless referrals. It’s all about who you surround yourself with.
You mentioned working with a diverse range of clients, including professional athletes and performers on the Strip. What unique challenges and opportunities come with serving such a varied clientele?
Everyone always wants to show their worth. Whether it’s the financial advisor, agent, lawyer, dad, mom – it can be a challenge. Everyone has an opinion and although it may be valued, at times it can be unnecessary and cause unwarranted issues within the transaction.
Your husband is a top lender in Las Vegas. How has this dynamic power couple partnership influenced your real estate career, and how do you both collaborate in the industry?
In the beginning so many people thought that my husband was feeding me the clients – that was NOT the case. Brent can attest to that, I’m the one giving him clients. Another humble brag.
You’ve had experiences with reality TV shows such as “Say Yes to the Dress” and “Say Yes to the Nest.” How has being in the public eye impacted your approach to real estate and client relationships?
At first I made business social media accounts and it was just too much work. I didn’t want people to Google me and have some warped perception of me. I’m thankful that I’m at the point in my career where my accomplishments in this industry outweigh my at times sassy personality and witty one-liners.
Balancing a successful career and family life can be demanding. Could you share some insights into how you manage your career while raising two young daughters?
I’m not going to lie, we do have outside help. Both our families live a long plane ride away. But one thing we make sure to do is turn off our phones during dinner & bath time. Those moments you can’t get back. I rather stay up til 1 am writing emails & contracts any day, than missing that one-on-one time.
What goals and aspirations do you have for your real estate business in the coming years? Are there any exciting projects or plans you’d like to share?
It’s only up from here. I do have something huge in the works, and although we’re in the tailend of negotiations, I’m not at liberty to say it just yet. But you will not be disappointed.
In the ever-evolving real estate industry, what strategies do you employ to stay ahead of the competition and provide the best service to your clients?
Quality over quantity, always. I will NEVER be that agent that is too busy to show a client a home, or shun a buyer because their purchase price isn’t in the millions. You can never go wrong with being genuine and having relationships with past, present & future clients.
