I was a huge fan of it when I was a kid, and now the exciting news has arrived that the 1990s soap opera Melrose Place is making a return. Original cast members Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton, and Daphne Zuniga are returning for the reboot series. The series is in development at CBS.
The Melrose Place reboot will be written by Lauren Gussis, who created the Netflix series Insatiable.
“When one of their dearest friends dies suddenly, the OG residents of Melrose Place gather to honor the deceased,” reads the series logline, according to Deadline. “But the pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets . . . throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”
