A RoboCop show is heading into development at Amazon. Variety reports that the series is moving forward as Peter Ocko has signed on to write and executive produce the series. Ocko will also serve as the showrunner. James Wan will serve as executive producer under his Atomic Monster banner.

“A giant tech conglomerate collaborates with the local police department to introduce a technologically advanced enforcer to combat rising crime — a police officer who’s part man, part machine,” the official logline reads.

A release date for the new RoboCop television series has not yet been announced by Amazon.
