NYC-based power-popgaze band Heaven are excited to share the second single from their upcoming third full-length album, Dream Aloud, out April 4, 2025, via Little Cloud Records. Out now, “The Fire You Know” is a fever dream of a lyrical vision, melancholy orchestral sounds anchored by hi-hats keep fated beliefs and secrets deep inside. Out now with an official music video, today’s single features Megan LaMarca on cello recorded by her husband Anthony LaMarca from The War On Drugs. Heaven’s usual choir of noisy guitars are traded in for lush string arrangements, resulting in complete sonic entracement.
The official music video for “The Fire You Know” was filmed in Upstate New York in and around an early 20th-century farmhouse in Narrowsburg, NY, aptly called the Nowhere House. Directed and shot by Jeska Sand, the excursion from NYC was an escape into the cold snowy recess of winter to find the fire and the warmth needed to conjure the vision, voluntarily stepping into the doorway of the madness that is believing.

Singer, songwriter, and producer, Daniel Arison, has released his highly anticipated single, “Selfish,” today. This deeply personal track marks a pivotal moment in his creative journey, as it was the first song written for his upcoming album and became the thematic foundation for the entire project.
Daniel recalled the pivotal moment that inspired the song during a recent studio
session with his producer, Larzz. “I walked into the session and knew exactly what I
wanted to write,” Daniel explained. “I told Larzz the story behind the title: one day, I
had a huge blowout with one of my friends. He came to me and yelled at me for an
hour and a half, accusing me of being self-involved—never calling, never asking how
he was, never making the effort. In the moment, I felt really defensive and denied
everything he said. But a few days later, I sat with myself and thought, ‘Maybe you’re
right. Maybe I am selfish.’”

Rikas, an ensemble born from the depths of profound friendship, embodies a unique blend of musical prowess and distinctive style. The Berlin-based four-piece are known for their brisk, easygoing harmonies, anthemic choruses, and egalitarian style, where each member contributes equally to songwriting and shares the spotlight both in the studio and on stage. The breezy alt-pop band have been in forward motion with each other since their earliest days starting out in their hometown of Stuttgart. Now, guitarist and keyboardist Sascha Scherer, bassist Sam Luca Baisch, drummer Ferdinand Hübner, and guitarist Chris Ronge are unveiling their riveting sophomore album, Soundtrack For A Movie That Has Not Been Written Yet.
With an underlying theme of motion and driving, the band were inspired by their travels during the creation of the album. Written across Berlin, Los Angeles and also in Amsterdam with Benny Sings, Sascha shares, “I think a lot of bands have trouble staying still. When you stop touring and moving to a new city each day, you feel lost. I feel like our new album is capturing that feeling of go, go, go.” This feeling of inertia contains layers: there’s a sense of restlessness, but also brotherhood and camaraderie—feelings Rikas aim to depict in each of the album’s videos.
