The trailer for HBO’s upcoming comedy series, The Chair Company, created by Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin, has been unveiled.
The Chair Company is a new comedic show set to premiere on HBO Max next month. Robinson stars as William Ronald Trosper, a character caught up in a situation where he’s investigating a “massive problem” that threatens “mass casualties.” As the trailer unfolds, Robinson’s investigation spirals into unexpected twists and turns that he could never have anticipated. The series features a cast including Lake Bell as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis as Natalie Trosper, Will Price as Seth Trosper, Joseph Tudisco as Mike Santini, and Lou Diamond Phillips as Jeff Levjman.
Robinson and Kanin serve as executive producers alongside Adam McKay and Todd Schulman of HyperObject Industries, as well as Andrew DeYoung and Igor Srubshchik. The series is directed by Andrew DeYoung and Aaron Schimberg.
The official synopsis states, “After an embarrassing incident at work, a man (Robinson) finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy.”
Robinson and Kanin are best known for creating the Netflix sketch comedy series I Think You Should Leave. They also co-created Detroiters on Comedy Central, alongside Sam Richardson and Joe Kelly.
