Watch The First 5 Minutes of ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 Courtesy Of Netflix

The countdown to Stranger Things Season 5 is almost over, and Netflix has offered fans a chilling preview of what’s to come. The platform released the first five minutes of the highly anticipated final season, providing a suspenseful return to Hawkins and the Upside Down. The opening scene revisits a familiar moment that sets the stage for the series’ concluding chapter.

During a virtual watch party, Netflix unveiled the opening sequence of Season 5. The clip begins deep within the Upside Down’s forest in 1983, shortly after Will Byers’ disappearance. A de-aged Noah Schnapp appears as 12-year-old Will, visibly frightened and softly humming The Clash’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go” inside the Upside Down version of Castle Byers. As Will sings, eerie guttural noises are heard before a Demogorgon crashes through the fort. Will fires a rifle and manages a brief escape, climbing a tree before the creature pulls him down and out of view. The screen then fades to black and transitions to the Hawkins Library in the Upside Down, where the Demogorgon presents Will to Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower).

The first four episodes of Stranger Things Season 5 will premiere on November 26 at 5 p.m. PT, followed by three episodes on Christmas Day, with the season finale dropping on New Year’s Eve.
