Teaser: From Creators Matt and Ross Duffer ‘Something Very Bad is Going to Happen’ At Netflix

Netflix has unveiled the first teaser trailer for Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, an upcoming horror drama from the creators of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer. The limited series, comprising eight episodes, is set to premiere on March 26, 2026.

According to the official synopsis, the series is an atmospheric horror set at a wedding, focusing on a bride and groom during the week leading up to their disastrous wedding day. The show is created and executive-produced by showrunner Haley Z. Boston. The main cast features Camila Morrone as Rachel, Adam DiMarco as Nicky, Jeff Wilbusch as Jules, Karla Crome as Nell, Gus Birney as Portia, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Victoria, Ted Levine as Boris, and Sawyer Fraser as Jude. The series is produced by the Duffer Brothers and Hilary Leavitt for Upside Down Productions, along with Andrea Sperling and Weronika Tofilska, who also directs alongside Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann.

Boston shared her passion for horror, saying, “I love horror. It’s natural to me, it’s how I process my own emotions and my understanding of the world. Horror lets you explore taboo feelings and confront fears with intensity,” she told Tudum.

She added a personal note: “When I was a kid, my mom told me, ‘You just need to make sure you don’t marry the wrong person.’ The show explores the fear of marrying the wrong person. I’ve been to weddings where people say in their vows, ‘I never once had a doubt,’ and I think, ‘That’s crazy. What do you mean?’”
