Hulu has released the debut trailer for the highly anticipated comedy film Pizza Movie, starring Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo. The film promises a hilarious and chaotic adventure about two friends embarking on the trip of a lifetime. Pizza Movie is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ on April 3, 2026.
According to the official synopsis, the story follows “a shy college student and his reckless roommate who set out on a simple mission to grab pizza. However, after consuming a strange, mind-altering experimental drug, they find themselves caught in a night filled with absurd encounters, wild hallucinations, and unexpected revelations that could change their lives forever.”
The trailer reveals that the two friends stumble upon a mint-flavored experimental drug claiming to provide the best high ever—only they don’t realize it must be ingested with pizza. As they chase after their food, they must navigate the drug’s mind-bending effects and the surreal situations that ensue.
In addition to Matarazzo, the film features Sean Giambrone, Lulu Wilson, Jack Martin, Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Marcus Scribner, Caleb Hearon, Sarah Sherman, and Justin Cooley. The movie is written and directed by Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher, best known as the sketch comedy duo BriTANicK. The duo has previous experience as Saturday Night Live writers and also penned the upcoming 2026 comedy thriller Over Your Dead Body.
Pizza Movie is produced by Jeremy Garelick, Will Phelps, Billy Rosenberg, Jason Zaro, Molle DeBartolo, Max A. Butler, and Matt Whelan.
