Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated artist Tyga is venturing into the world of feature filmmaking with his new project, Baby, You’re A Star. Currently in production in Portland, Oregon, this coming-of-age musical drama marks Tyga’s debut as a lead actor in a feature film. He also takes on roles as co-writer and producer for the film.
Baby, You’re A Star features a notable cast led by Tyga himself, alongside Madison Bailey (from Outer Banks) and Ashton Sanders (from Moonlight). The supporting cast includes talented actors such as Apollonia, Clifton Powell, Patrick Cage, David Alan Grier, and Mike Epps.
The film is directed by Arrad Rahgoshay, renowned for his work directing music videos, making his first feature film debut. The screenplay was co-written by Tyga and Curtis Bryant, adding a personal touch to the story.
Produced by Brian Sher and Eric Tomosunas, the film is set in 1989 and follows the journey of an ambitious young artist striving to escape the limitations of his environment.
