The Minions are back — and this time, they’re unleashing absolute chaos on Hollywood.
Illumination has officially dropped the new trailer for Minions & Monsters, the latest chapter in the massively successful Despicable Me universe, arriving exclusively in theaters on July 1.
Following the worldwide success of Despicable Me 4, the upcoming animated adventure expands the beloved franchise with brand-new characters, outrageous comedy, and a monster-sized storyline that may be the Minions’ craziest mission yet.
According to the official synopsis, Minions & Monsters tells the “totally true story” of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, accidentally unleashed monsters onto the world, and then had to band together to save the planet from the very mayhem they created.
The film features an impressive voice cast led by Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, Jeff Bridges, Jesse Eisenberg, and Zoey Deutch. Joining them are Bobby Moynihan, Phil LaMarr, and Trey Parker.

Directing the film is Pierre Coffin, the longtime creative force behind the first three Despicable Me films and the original Minions movie. Coffin also famously voices the Minions themselves. The screenplay comes from Brian Lynch and Coffin, while the film is produced by Chris Meledandri and Bill Ryan.
More than a decade after first appearing on screens, the Minions remain one of animation’s most recognizable global phenomena. The Despicable Me and Minions franchise has generated more than $5.6 billion worldwide, cementing its place as the biggest animated franchise in history.
