A24 has officially announced the release date for their highly anticipated action film, Onslaught. The movie, featuring Adria Arjona in a fierce fighting role against a nearly superpowered group of mercenaries, is scheduled to hit theaters on September 4, 2026. The announcement came with the release of a teaser trailer, which is currently playing in front of A24’s recent film Backrooms. Although the trailer isn’t available online yet, it offers a glimpse into the film’s intense premise.
The brief trailer depicts a trailer park located near a military base, setting the scene for the story. The narrative centers around a group of mercenaries who, after being subjected to experimental procedures, break free and unleash chaos with their extraordinary abilities. In response, a mother—played by Adria Arjona—and the residents of the park band together to confront the threat.
Onslaught features an ensemble cast that includes Dan Stevens, former UFC champion Alex Pereira, Michael Biehn, Drew Starkey, Rebecca Hall, Eric Wareheim, Maurice Green, and Reginald VelJohnson. The film is directed by Adam Wingard, with a screenplay by his longtime collaborator Simon Barrett. The duo previously gained recognition for their 2014 action thriller The Guest, which also starred Stevens, and have since collaborated on projects like Blair Witch and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
Adria Arjona is renowned for her roles in Pacific Rim Uprising, Hit Man, Blink Twice, and Splitsville. She is also set to star in the upcoming The Thomas Crown Affair remake and the superhero film Man of Tomorrow.
With its release date now confirmed, Onslaught is shaping up to be a must-watch action-packed film that promises intense battles and compelling performances.
