Apple TV+ has unveiled the first trailer for Last Seen, an upcoming Australian thriller starring Patrick Brammall. The series is adapted from Ryan David Jahn’s 2011 novel, The Dispatcher.
Last Seen is set to premiere on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, on Apple TV+, releasing its initial two episodes simultaneously. The first season will comprise six episodes, with new episodes launching every Wednesday and the season finale airing on October 7, 2026.
Written by Kris Mrksa, the story centers on a police dispatcher in Victoria, Australia, who becomes convinced that a distress call he receives is from his daughter, who disappeared 11 years earlier. The series is directed by Emmy Award-nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow, who also serves as an executive producer.
The trailer introduces Ian Ridley, a former police detective whose life was forever changed when his young daughter, Maggie, vanished over a decade ago. Now working as a police dispatcher, Ridley holds onto the belief that Maggie is still alive. His hope is reignited when he receives a distress call from a teenage girl who might be Maggie. Determined, Ridley risks everything to save her.
The trailer begins with Ridley answering the distress call, where the girl on the line hints her name might be “Mags,” convincing Ridley of her identity. The preview then cuts to intense scenes showcasing Ridley’s desperate investigation and pursuit to find his daughter.
Last Seen stars Patrick Brammall as Ian Ridley, alongside Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Zahra Newman, and Felix Cameron.
