Vertical has unveiled the official trailer, poster, and a new collection of images for JUST PLAY DEAD, an upcoming thriller starring screen legends Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Green.
Directed by Martin Campbell, the filmmaker behind Casino Royale and The Mask of Zorro, the film promises a stylish and unpredictable game of cat-and-mouse set against a vibrant tropical backdrop.
Jackson stars as Jack Wolfe, a wealthy criminal mastermind who finds himself cornered by federal authorities. With his freedom—and fortune—at risk, Jack devises an elaborate plan to disappear: fake his own death, collect a $30 million insurance payout alongside his wife, Nora, and frame her young surfer lover, Chad, for his murder.
But Jack isn’t the only one plotting.
Trapped for years under her husband’s ruthless control, Nora sees an opportunity to finally break free. She plans to kill Jack for real, pin the crime on Chad, and walk away with the fortune. However, Jack is always several moves ahead. As his carefully constructed trap begins to close, the unsuspecting lovers are pushed into a deadly confrontation where trust becomes a matter of life and death.
With Campbell at the helm and a cast led by Jackson and Green, JUST PLAY DEAD looks set to deliver a tense, twist-filled thriller packed with deception, betrayal, and explosive surprises.
JUST PLAY DEAD hits select theaters on August 28, followed by an on-demand release on September 1.
