THE HIT LIST

The Hit List: Chance The Rapper, Dominic Fike, Kygo, Conor Maynard, Cheat Codes and Snow Tha Product

Sigala – “Revival” (ft. Cheat Codes and MAX): Taken from Sigala’s debut album “Brighter Days”, the DJ has got a galaxy of features on the album. This single alone features Cheat Codes and MAX. “Revival” is one of 16 tracks featuring on the album which will include guests like Kylie Minogue, rising star HRVY and Scottish sensation Nina Nesbitt. I love this song, and recently I’ve become a huge fan of MAX. Add the depth of Cheat Codes and you have the hottest pop song this year.

Kygo – “Happy Now” (feat. Sandro Cavazza): Kygo has been the true pioneer of the tropical house sound over the past few years. The Norwegian DJ and producer has recently been in the news after recently giving a contribution of $30,000 to the ‘Tomorrow Needs You’ campaign – an effort run by famous non-profit aimed to help those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. His latest track ‘Happy Now’ is out now and believed to be his tribute to the late Avicii. Both Kygo and Sandro Cavazza who features on the single, are known to have been close friends of the late Avicii, with the former describing him as one of his biggest inspirations on many occasions and the latter crediting him for kickstarting his career on their collaboration ‘Without You’. “Happy Now” is available now everywhere.

Kris Kross Amsterdam x The Boy Next Door – “Whenever” (feat. Conor Maynard): Kris Kross Amsterdam and have teamed up for the newest EDM single ‘Whenever‘ featuring vocals from Conor Maynard. The song samples a Shakira smash hit ‘Whenever, Wherever’ alongside KKA’s and TBND’s mix of feel-good funky R&B, trap and house. The accompanying video was filmed in Cadiz, Spain (with KKA & TBND) and Florida (with Conor) and captures that ultimate sunshine holiday vibe.

Dominic Fike – “3 nights”: Dominic Fike is on his way to being the next pop superstar. He’s a 22-year-old from Florida who sings easygoing songs about being young and has a tattoo of the Apple logo on his cheekbone. Columbia Records recently released a 14-minute project from Fike called “Don’t Forget About Me, Demos”. “3 Nights” is the records first and most fully formed track.

Chance the Rapper – “Wala Cam” (feat. Supa Bwe & Forever Band): Chance The Rapper  quickly jumped on Twitter to clarify rumors that we’re circulating about a new album he might be releasing: “Sorry no album this week, def been in the stu tho.” Then suddenly he shared four new songs. These new songs — “I Might Need Security,” “Wala Cam,” “Work Out,” and “65th & Ingleside” — haven’t been packaged as an EP or anything. Apparently, they’re all standalone songs. But they’ve all got similar cover art, and they all seem to fit together. The sound is a full, cinematic variant on Chance’s usual gospel-infused soul-rap. Chance does a lot of reflective singsong rapping on all the tracks, and he radiates joy even as he settles scores.

Snow Tha Product – “Nights” (feat. W. Darling): Snow Tha Product first caught the attention of listeners back in 2014, she held her own alongside David Banner and King Los during a BET Hip-Hop Awards’s cypher. She’s a sharp tongued rapper and strong willed, but now, she’s now looking to breakout with a new sound. She’s  premiered a slick video that opens with “Nights,” a slinky R&B track about the acquaintances we make in the after hours.
