‘INsiders Guide’ : Introducing emerging artists Denny White and DAANI

Welcome to my new platform called the ‘INsiders Guide’, where I hope to expose some of the most popular indie artists that are emerging from around the world. There are so many great unsigned and independent artists out there who don’t get the spotlight, but certainly deserve it, so here is there chance to shine. If you want your music featured on the ‘INsiders Guide’ be sure to send me an email at neillfrazer@hotmail.com so I can check it out.

Denny White: My first artist Denny White just released his brand new single “Carried Away” which recently made it into Spotify’s acclaimed New Music Friday. The single brings a fresh feel to the pop genre with a more bluesy and melodic instrumental backed by his smoothe vocals. White has toured with the likes of Young the Giant and Dawes, and collaborated with some huge names including One Republic’s Brent Kutzle on his debut EP “Colors” in 2013, also penning songs for The Fray with Julia Michaels, Lukas Graham, and house legend, Tiesto among others.

White’s musical inspiration he derived from becoming a new father and experiencing this new reality of parenthood. White said “It’s exciting and terrifying bringing a kid into this world and it’s brought new perspective to everything, whether it’s nostalgic feelings of when I was kid, or struggles with depression and how I need to be a better person for everyone around me”. This burst of emotion has allowed White to create an upbeat energetic sound in his music. White’s definitely someone to look out for and you can hear his new track below and be sure to check out all his social media, to keep up to date with his music.

DAANI: Compared to artists such as Sia, Jessie Ware and Lapsley, DAANI found success with her last single being used for the trailer of the Hunger Games Mockingjay trailer. DAANI now returns with her new single entitled “Blood Rush” which details the agonizing wait and anticipation of seeing a partner. The single written by DAANI, EZA, and Matt Wigton, features a powerful pop instrumental, with an almost similar sound you would normally hear during on a 1980’s soundtrack. DAANI has created a name for herself since performing as a backing vocalist to Miley Cyrus, Cheryl Crow and The Roots.

DAANI was originally trained as a jazz vocalist at The New School in NYC, and her strong emotional lyrics show case her skillful ability as a songwriter with intense passion. Her influences range from the soul of Stevie Wonder to the 90’s energy of Celine Dion and Mariah Carey, and you can almost feel that soulful R&B vibe coming from her latest effort. Be sure to follow DAANI on all her social media so you know what she’s up too.
