Young Rising Sons: They burst onto the music scene with their viral hit “High” which garnered over 12 million hits on Spotify, and have performed across the globe with the likes of Halsey, The 1975, & The Neighbourhood, and now they return with a brand new single “Whiskey”. Off Dirty Canvas Music (American Authors), Young Rising Sons are following suit with that same signature sound that’s spawned Grammy success with the likes of Imagine Dragons. Bassist Julian Dimagiba and drummer Steve Patrick stumbled into a bar and caught Andy Tongren performing his own acoustic set. These two realized Tongren was exactly what they needed to complete their band, and immediately sparked chemistry and these Young Rising Sons set themselves on the NYC and NJ circuits. Once they developed a loyal fan base they met with producers Shep Goodman and Aaron Accetta.

In 2014 they signed with Goodman and Accetta’s production company Dirty Canvas Music, and released that viral hit “High”, which led them to signing with Interscope Records and release their self-titled EP shortly after. These guys are going to be huge, and you can keep up to date with the band on their social media below.

Van Bellman: You may have seen him playing guitar on TV with multi-platinum band American Authors or being the brainchild of Brooklyn-based musician Zac Taylor, now Van Bellman is set to embark on a solo venture with his new single “I Hate To See You This Way” which is already being dubbed rock song of the year. “I Hate To See You This Way” focuses on the pain of watching someone you love go down a dark road and watching them basically self destruct. Such a relatable song to so many people who have been heartbroken by this or felt helpless, it’s a song written with a purpose. “It means a lot to me as both a lyrical and sonic story,” said Taylor, who also produced the track at the legendary Mission Sound Studios in Brooklyn. With hints of influences from Kurt Cobain to Jeff Buckley, this song manages to pull you in with it’s sensitive lyrics and powerful instrumentals. It’s a rock’n’roll song delivered with passion, and textured between the modern elements of pop music. Take a listen to “I Hate To See You This Way” below, and be sure to follow Van Bellman on social media.
