“‘Made In My Head’ is a robust rainbow of sounds that guides today’s alternative pop movement into fresh artistic territory.”
– Earmilk
“Made In My Head” is a collection of seven tracks, with visuals inspired by a Swedish comic book from the 1960s. It’s by the up and coming talented band Violet Days, and the EP premiered via media outlet Earmilk.
Violet Days’ early releases have racked up millions of plays on Spotify, with their first single, “Your Girl,” hitting over 13 million streams alone. Their official songwriting and production credits include collabs with Phoebe Ryan, Shaun Frank and The Chainsmokers, whose hit song “Paris” Kris co-wrote. Their new EP “Made In My Head” tells a story of two characters who are in love and the ups and downs of their relationship.
Violet Days is the artistic project of Swedish singer and songwriter Lina Hansson, with production by her creative partner Kris Eriksson. Violet Days have crafted addictive, bass-heavy, alternative pop, that’s become an infectious global sound for this hit musical act.
“Made In My Head” is a collection of dreamy soundscape sounds, full of lush melodies combined with electronic pop music production. My favourite song on the EP has to be “Just A Little”, which easily could be a song made for radio and the top of the charts. It’s up beat, catchy, with lyrics that enables you to envision a love story as Hansson sings, “I want it to hurt just a little / Hurt just being with you.”
“Made In My Head” is a brilliant piece of artistry, and it’s just another reason why this band is quickly becoming one of the most talked about artists of the year.
