INsiders Guide: GRAMMY® Award-nominated rapper Raja Kumari, Caspian Lennox, Bridesmen, BlissBliss

GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter Raja Kumari has just released her brand new scorching track called “Shook”. The song was written by Kumari in collaboration with Sean Garrett, who produced the track. The anthem is set to appear on her forthcoming new EP, which is set for release in early 2019 via Epic Records. 

Incorporating global rhythms, hip-hop attitude, and pop ambition, the track simmers with it’s punchy lyricism and it’s vibrant instrumentals. Earlier this week Kumari shared a heartfelt personal statement on Instagram about her forthcoming project and the single. Kumari spoke of “Shook” exclaiming, “This song is for the people. Our third eyes are open. Don’t get in our way!!”

Bridesmen is Los Angeles based Kenton Chen, an indie neo-soul, R&B singer/songwriter who has just released the visuals for his single ‘Someone Who Loves Me’. As a gay Asian second generation immigrant, Chen grew up feeling isolated, constantly hiding behind masks to protect himself. Now with Bridesmen, he aspires to uncover these masks through his art of music, so he can live a truthful life. He has toured with some massive names in pop including Katy Perry, Kesha, Sara Bareilles, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Hudson. ‘Someone Who Loves Me’ highlights Chen’s incredible vocals, and showcases an enchanting modern R&B instrumentation. Chen addressed the single revealing; “It’s okay to be sad, to be frustrated, even angry in our pursuit of life, love, and happiness. And the more aware and vulnerable we can be about it, the more we can be there for each other”.

Sophisti-pop duo BlissBliss have announced the release of their brand new EP entitled “3”. The duo consisting of Renee Bliss and Lang Bliss, have merged some signature sounds of rock, jazz, pop, and R&B, to create a unique sound that’s true to them. “3″ is the third project to be released by BlissBliss and is different from their previous projects in that it was primarily recorded live in the studio with three other musicians; Mark Lee Townsend on guitar (guitarist, producer for Relient K and others), Tim  Gaines on bass (formerly with Stryper), and Tim Pascoal on keys (Dave Weckl, Bob Mintzer). Their musical influences vary from Sting and Steely Dan to Jamiroquai and John Mayer.
