Since debuting last year, Cat Turner has won praise for her dark-pop sound. Her new single “Easier”, features her unique sound of driving synths and her raw vocals, showcasing her unbelievable talent perfectly. Cat is a producer-singer from Galway, who has worked on her craft since starting to produce over a year ago. She’s had live performances that has included Electric Picnic and support slots with fellow Irish ones-to-watch Pillow Queens. Her debut EP ‘Contrast’ also saw national airplay, and drew comparisons to artists such as Grimes and Tove Lo. Her new video for “Easier” shows a love-drunk atmosphere as it follows a couple through the ups and downs in their relationship. We are taken from moments of loving affection to full-blown fights, break-up arguments to make-up sex. Such a great single from Turner who is holding her own in the pop world.
Toronto duo Ocean Potion have released their first full length LP, which follows their debut single “In The Grass” which was released this past August. Ocean Potion is a collaboration between Mike O’Brien (Zeus) and Jason Haberman (Yukon Blonde). The two met while touring Canada with their respective bands Zeus and Yukon Blonde. Their friendship quickly developed, beginning recording projects that took place in Toronto’s west end over the course of this past year. Initially there were no songs, just jams based around looping riffs. As these loops took shape, a creative process emerged, Jason would record a basic bed track, then send it over to Mike to add words and melodies. After both Mike and Jay felt they’d reached a collection of 10 songs that represented the best of what they’d created, Jason dove into the mixing process – sifting through the many layers of synths, woozy guitars and dreamy vocals to find the purest version of each song.

Hailing from New York City, Katiah One is ready to be heard with the release of his first EP “A Whole Lotta Water Works”. The artist holds nothing back in his music, credited as a songwriter and performer for his tracks. He worked with close friend and producer Wally Sean to create the EP “A Whole Lotta Water Works” the two were inspired by a line in the pairs favorite song they made “Dream Sequence”. The EP title, as well as the EP itself, deals with the idea of crying, whether you cry because you’re happy, sad or angry. He draws inspiration from many genres including R&B and Rock. His favorite artists include Freddy Mercury, Sam Cooke and Issac Brock. Katiah’s goal with his music is to be a positive influence on the world and make people smile.
