Katy Perry has just dropped her brand new single “Daisies,” the first from her next album. She’s also revealed that the record will arrive on August 14 via Capitol. This song takes her back to her best days of pop music when she was turning out hit after hit during her Teenage Dream years. The “Daisies” video was directed and produced by Liza Voloshin.
“I wrote this song a couple months ago as a call to remain true to the course you’ve set for yourself, regardless of what others may think,” Perry wrote in a tweet. She added: “Recently, it has taken a new meaning for me, in light of what the whole world is experiencing.” She penned “Daisies” with Jon Bellion, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Michael Pollack, and the Monsters’ Jordan K. Johnson and Stefan Johnson. The song is produced by The Monsters & Strangerz.
