Layered with bright melodies that resonate aptly “Of the sun,” the song pairs whimsical guitar runs with Miynt’s airy vocals creating a lush dreamscape tailor-made for a hazy seaside drive. The video further invites us into this world, adding a chilly visual layer to the textured composition. On the song, Miynt says, “I visited hotel De la sol in a dream and this is the song that was playing in the bar.”The track comes hot on the heels of a string of single releases from Miynt over the last couple years that are finally set to culminate in her debut album. Her most recent release, “Station station,” amassed several playlist placements including Spotify New Music Friday (USA, Sweden, Denmark, among others), as well as All New Indie, Oyster, and AlternaRock adds.

Singer-Songwriter-Producer, Wonho, has released his highly anticipated single album, OBSESSION. Consisting of two tracks written and composed by WonhoOBSESSION is his first release of 2022, following the release of Blue Letter in September. “I’m grateful that I’m able to greet my fans with my first single album in the year 2022. It feels like we are starting a new year together! I’ll try my best to show great things to you all this year” Wonho says of this release.Named by Rolling Stone as the “singer who’s breaking hearts just as quickly as he’s breaking stereotypes,” Wonho is set to continue pushing his own creative limits by exploring different themes within OBSESSIONWonho further explains the meaning behind “EYE ON YOU”“Sometimes there are people who look at others with stereotypes, as if they were wearing colored glasses. In the music for “EYE ON YOU,” you’ll see there are CCTVs that follow me, representing one’s gaze. The track originally started off with the theme of one’s gaze, but as I progressed with the songwriting, it turned into a topic that one could apply to various stories. In my opinion, it could also be interpreted as a love song, and apply to many different scenarios.”

Emerging UK artist and producer HUMBLE THE GREAT returns with his first enigmatic offering of 2022 – the sleek, woozy “Burn Me Alive”, taken from him forthcoming debut project BLOODSHOT – set for release March 2022. Following on from acclaimed tracks “IRIDESCENT”, “DON’T MAKE ME GO HOME NOW” and “GONE”, this latest offering emerges as a hazy R&B track of growing complexity, decorated by Humble’s contemplative, soul-infused vocal. Combining textured, shimmering production with his signature honeyed R&B soundscape, “BURN ME ALIVE” is set to further cement Humble’s reputation as a significant new home-grown talent in the UK R&B/ Pop scene and beyond. Forming part of a number of emerging London collectives alongside the likes of KWAYE, Maxi Mills, Kate Stewart, TS Graye and more, Humble continues to underline his penchant for experimentation – crafting unique soundscapes that live on long after the track has ended. Already gaining the attention of tastemakers incl. WONDERLAND, NOTION, THE LINE OF BEST FIT and THE INDEPENDENT as well as receiving organic spins across BBC R1 and BBC Introducing, Humble the Great’s signature sounds continue to mark him as an exciting, inventive new name.

Nashville-based alt-pop trailblazer Caroline Romano is sharing the music video for “Oddities and Prodigies,” the title track from her forthcoming debut album out February 25th.An electrifying and anthemic pop punk-inspired track, “Oddities and Prodigies” serves as the thesis statement for Caroline’s debut album of the same name. Directed by Justin Key, the pairing video presents Caroline’s magical and eccentric vision. “I wanted the video to be as theatrical as possible,” she says. “Instead of just walking down the street, I wanted it to feel like you were watching a play or an inner-monologue play out in real time. I guess you could say it’s a representation of the album or the way I write songs as a whole, in that it’s real life, but intensely dramatized.”

Often I start writing and let my subconscious tell the story. I won’t even know how I’m feeling until I’ve finished writing about it. This song, “Roses,” kind of wrote itself. I sat down at the piano one day, picked a starting chord and the entire song just spilled out.

I wasn’t thinking about how others might perceive it. I only know where I was at when I felt compelled to write. I was experiencing a lot of numbness, and I didn’t know why.

You’ll notice a juxtaposition between the sensitive subject matter and the beauty in the imagery. The pre-chorus lyrics highlight the way we celebrate people posthumously. We ignore and tear down the living, then they die and we glorify them and call them legends. Always seemed strange to me.

Thank you for streaming,

Alyssa Reid

Matilda Cole impresses with her flawless new single ‘Again’. Watch the gorgeous accompanying video HERE

Born as a response to a relationship on the turn, ‘Again’ is a masterful act of storytelling, something that Matilda Cole is clearly a natural at. Sharing more she told us “I wrote again about that all too familiar cycle of wanting someone so much that you let them hurt you again and again. I thought the idea of not being loved at all was worse than being loved in the wrong way, so I tolerated behaviour that I really shouldn’t have.”

Coming as her first release of 2022, the track indicates Matilda Cole is destined for a great year. With her debut live show locked in for April the 14th at The Courtyard, we expect to be hearing a lot more from this promising young artist. Get your tickets HERE

You can hear my very first single, “I Guess,” across all streaming platforms now.

As someone who struggled with loving themselves for a long time, I know how hard it can be to look in the mirror and truly accept what you see. But, when I’m listening to “I Guess,” all the self doubt and hate that I once had for myself evaporates, replaced by control and power.

This song is about sex – but more than just sex in the physical sense, it’s about the deeper emotional connection you can feel with your partner when you let each other in. When you surround yourself with people who are on the same level as you mentally and spiritually, you can start sharing so much more than what shows on the surface level.

I want everyone who listens to this song to look in the mirror and know they are the sexiest, most powerful person that they possibly can be.

Slipping into a different dimension / As I let go of the sexual tensionThank you for listening,Heather Avalon
