Embodying love, self-hood, heartbreak and hope, Sir Jude‘s music is a modern timewarp – a discovery of raw emotion through sensuality and imagination. It is cinematic pop that is hard to ignore. With a heavy visual focus, Sir Jude immerses us into her world, described as the sonic love child of James Bond and pop-grunge tones.

In fresh offering ‘Madonna’, out July 6th, the track’s core concept is to reflect the dichotomy of the Madonna and the whore, the patriarchal respect of innocence and implied shame of sexual agency.

Its baby Gaga energy and Yelle inspired production motivate a 2022, catwalk-like anthem that speaks on feminism through a veil made of ethereal elements and gritty grunge pop undertones.

This single contributes to the visual story that culminates her pending debut album, Revelations, a body of work that represents a sonic journey of unravelling internalised misogyny and discovery of the self, pushing the boundaries of pop with lyrical prowess in its stride.

Catholicism, high fashion, the cinematography of the film-noir genre and Baroque art all influence  the creative direction of this project.

Up until now, the release of Sir Jude’s debut EP Dreamlands 2020, featuring ‘What the Hell Have You  Done’, has collectively accrued over 250,000 streams and saw a feature on Spotify’s Fresh Finds  playlist.

Shortly after its release, her song ‘Mirror’ was synced to MTV‘s reality TV show, ‘Catfish’. More recently, ‘What the Hell Have You Done’ and ‘Because You’re Mine’ were spotted in Netflix UK’s  Series, ‘The A List’.

Gritty garage-punk trio BERRIES pack a punch with debut album ‘How We Function’, out today via Xtra Mile Recordings.

Through tight, crunchy guitar lines and puncturing melodies, BERRIES deliver an album ostensibly about mental health struggles and how to overcome them. Nearly four years in the making, the band explain the themes that came to define their fierce new record, saying:

“The album is about strength and growth and recognising the dark times and how you get over that. We’ve got over a lot of mental health struggles, but we wanted [the album] to have an empowering vibe to it as well. This is our journey to growth. Mental health is not a shadow over what you’re doing — this is really healthy and we can talk more about this stuff.”

The titans assemble as two of the UK’s most celebrated emcees, Frisco and B-Live, lead the charge on new single ‘All Falls Down’ to celebrate the release of B-Live’s album ‘Wisdom Aint Cheap’.

STREAM/DOWNLOAD: B LIVE – WISDOM AINT CHEAP

Giving us everything we’d expect from two of the scenes most unique and distinctive voices, the guttural tones, eerie beat and skippy delivery are the perfect double strike combination for this status led joint. Accompanied by a monochrome visualiser that mirrors the staunch positioning of the track; the flow, wordplay and energy are brought to life with performance shots and ambiguous characters that add to the sinister tones. Adding yet another layer to the musical output from B-Live this year, ‘All Falls Down’ is in stark contrast to the club hit he started the year on but a perfect example of his expansive catalogue and versatility as an emcee.

Introducing Canadian-born, Brooklyn-based indie dream/pop artist Jenny Kern. With a magnetic vocal style and emotively piercing lyricism, Kern’s music has been amassing plenty of attention around the globe. Having originally started as a Page at NBC, Kern then went on to work for acclaimed filmmakers Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig, before eventually becoming a producer in the film and television industry. In 2018 Kern decided to take a leap of faith and pursue her passion for music full time.

Drawing on personal experiences, her songs unfold through a confessional-style delivery revealing the strength that can only come through vulnerability. Exploring what it means to be human and everything from anxiety, depression, getting older, interpersonal relationships, gratitude, love and loss, Kern confides,”I think most people assume that my music skews toward lyrical sadness but I always try to inject a hopeful undercurrent to it. I want people to feel like there’s hope and just because something feels heavy doesn’t mean that it’s going to be that way forever.”

Heavily inspired by the likes of The 1975, Chelsea Cutler, and Maggie Rogers, her latest single “I Should Lose You” narrates falling out of love with someone and eventually realizing that you need to let them go. In Kern’s words, “The relationship was failing and it became so one-sided. It’s easy to realize that you no longer have feelings for someone but it’s the intrinsic difficulty of hurting them that makes it so hard.”

Working with producers Andy Seltzer (Maggie Rogers, Chelsea Cutler) and Carson Cody (Valley, joan) “I Should Lose You” offers a euphoric, honest exploration into love and what it really means to be human. Tapping into feelings of anxiety, sadness and frustration, the song showcases a more pop-leaning sound for the singer/songwriter, with cascading synths, colorful, vibrant melodies and a throbbing bassline providing the backdrop for her soaring vocals.

With features on MTV, ABC and the CW, Kern has found herself connecting with major industry producers and writers. Recent months have also seen Kern’s music placed on several Spotify editorial playlists including Fresh Finds, Indie All-Stars and New Music Friday which collectively have over a million followers. Garnering a global audience and management in Broadway producer Kevin McCollum and original Glee producer Michael Novick, Kern is set to do some incredible things this year!

Lyhre is the solo project of Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer and composer Anitha Kandasamy. Based on her classical piano and vocal education, she experiments with sound synthesis and composition at the intersection of digital and analog, contrasting her voice with dark musical elements to create hybrid pop. With influences ranging from electronica, alternative/rock and pop, Lyhre’s boundaries of genres and her identity stay entirely fluid.

She works transdisciplinary in performance art, sound design and multimedia projects and has been at Deutsches Theater Berlin, Volksbühne Berlin, as well as part of collaborative works with hmtmh (Hannover), Zhdk (Zurich) and is an artist at Modularfield Records. Her Debut EP is part of the Netflix series “ELITE”. In 2017 she formed a collective alongside artist Katja Gaudard, in which they create works primarily based on artistic, but also sociological, philosophical and technical explorations. They received a project-based scholarship for their work on Judith Butler’s “The Force Of Nonviolence”.

Lyhres new works are supported by Initiative Musik gGmbH with project funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media.

Her latest single “Parasite” was produced by award-winning artist/composer Robot Koch and sonically subsumes the feeling of strength in fragility. Dancing delicately between experimental pop and heavy, dark alternative, the song features cinematic soundscapes and haunting emotion-fueled vocals with an overall gothic atmosphere. Rumbling instrumentation sets a sinister tone, while Lyhre’s layered, echoing vocals soar as she sings, “You nested inside of me, like a parasite, now I’m bleeding you out till there’s nothing left of you.”

“Parasite” came about when Lyhre saw a call for young writers to submit a text on how to conquer the future. She explains, “I saw it and felt that something deeply irritated me about it, so I wrote a text titled “Let’s not conquer the future” which turned into a kind of mini-manifesto for overcoming our form of existence and, in my arrogant solitude, of course never sent it… Later, though, based on emerging bioethical questions and the resulting polemical conceptual equation of “weak” and vulnerable as a physical phenomenon, I dealt with it again. With a focus on the ambivalence of borders, implying on the one hand a protective “identity structure” and on the other hand the simultaneous demarcation and mutual production of normative expectations.” So I started to explore normalized categories in relation to identity and vulnerability, in order to negotiate them in the context of a reflection of the label “human”, in a pop cultural setting. This interdisciplinary project  is now receiving support from the Initiative Musik.”

Southern California alt/rock artist Private Island inspires with their whimsical flair to songwriting, lyrical ingenuity inspired by ‘in-jokes’ and tales of good and bad times with friends. Organically forming in the summer of 2013, they united to form an alt/rock realm of tunes with current front-man Christian Lum, Tommy Nickerson, and Cameron Anderson.

Their forthcoming Valleyheart EP gives a sense of that playful spirit; reverberating with boisterous percussion, energetic guitar riffs and hazy vocals that listeners have come to adore. Showcasing the band’s true vision and identity, the release covers a wide spectrum of emotions and experimentation, with the end sound evolving into something unexpected. Speaking on the EP, they reveal, “The first sounds you hear on the EP are pretty ethereal.” With tracks that lend themselves to a selection of scenarios, they continue, “I think there’s a couple that are hypey tunes for on the way to a party, and other tunes for leaving the party.”

Valleyheart was entirely self-written, produced and engineered in band member Lum’s home studio in Sherman Oaks. Their focus track “Natural” was originally written in 2017 during a trip to Big Bear, CA with producer Bob Curtin, with the band sharing, “Unlike many others, the demo stood the test of time and made it to the writing room for the new EP, Valleyheart. We initially struggled to write the lyrics, so to remedy that, we brought on our Ex-Tour Manager/Buddy, Andrew Sedo as a co-writer. After many renditions, the song was ultimately written about dead weight and the relief felt once shed.”

Furthering their euphonious energy with lyrical bliss, Private Island didn’t just stop there. Their latest EP offers seven tunes of authentic and rather unapologetic alt/rock. Displaying their unique creative narrative with “Your Call”, a tune about the unavoidable helplessness of losing a job, and “Trippin”, describing the rather hilarious tale of a carefree roommate, Private Island’s diverse and quite unique musical capability creates contagious chemistry like no other.

GANZ, A.K.A Jordy Saämena is an Amsterdam-based producer/DJ extraordinaire who developed his masterful blend of hip-hop and electronica from a young age. Over time, GANZ’s sound has evolved, seeing him explore new territories and experiment with indie, pop and avant-garde music. His latest releases showcase his time spent playing with a multitude of genres and ambient soundscapes, creating something that is truly unique to GANZ.

In collaboration with Canadian duo Beach Season, comprised of Sam Avant and Simon Blitzer, GANZ unveils “Damage”. This latest partnership has involved international cooperation like no other. Bringing the lyrical ingenuity to life, Beach Season’s euphoric vocals pair seamlessly with lavish lofi beats. They explain, “The lyrics for “Damage” were inspired by the notion of mindless self-indulgence, even at the cost of one’s own well-being. The main root of the song centres around catharsis – a release that Sam and Simon felt even as they composed the lyrics. We have all experienced the need to be self-destructive in order to move past trauma or feel emotion.”Taking inspiration from 90’s hip-hop and R&B elements, GANZ has developed euphonious musical elements like no other, adding a dimensional feel to “Damage”. Offering bulging basslines, echoing melodies and pulsing rhythmic sounds, this single is set to soar in success.  With over 200,000 monthly listeners, his synth-focused productions and remixes helped usher in a new era of electronic music. With streaming numbers in the millions, we’re set to see huge things from GANZ and future collaborative opportunities in the coming months.

Contrasting a danceable track with some of her most vulnerable lyrics to date, KAYE today presents “Lifeline,” the second single off of her upcoming Neon God EP. Paired with an official video shot throughout her home of New York City, “Lifeline” is available now on all DSPs HERE. The Neon God EP will be released in its full glory on August 5 with a release show at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere on August 9.

In the second single for Neon God, I’m not an archangel or a cult leader,” says KAYE about today’s new single. “I’m just me, a lumpy human trying to make her way through the world. I am so far from perfect, and I know so intimately what it’s like to suffer, what it’s like to be lost. I also know what it’s like to summon my own rescue, over and over again, through music.”

multi-talented singer/songwriter Melii releases her new single “Mala” via Stem. “Mala” is the first track off Melii’s  forthcoming project – Medusa – arriving July 15th. Produced by MIKEWAVVS and written by Melii, the Latin-flavored, bilingual track exudes confidence and sensuality.

“Mala is a track speaking on choosing to be a baddie and not really being in your feelings and encouraging women to step in their element always. Like I say in the lyrics  ‘the girls who get it they get the girls that didn’t tell them swing my way ‘“ says Melii.

The Dominican singer is also launching her new content series ‘Melii Mondays’ where she releases a music video every Monday until August 8th. On July 11th, fans can look forward to the sultry music video for “Mala.”

Los Angeles-based vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist Cassie Marin presents her new single, “Gemini.” Alongside the release of the new single, Cassie is also announcing her much-anticipated album, Lil 5i5, that will be out on August 12th.

Pairing emotive melodies, atmospheric production and tongue-in-cheek lyrics, Cassie delivers pure synth-pop magic on “Gemini.” Cassie elaborates on the meaning behind the track: “I’ve always had the tendency to look at things from both sides — it’s comes with the positive of not being quick to judge, but when it pertains to analyzing my characters, it can create a confusing and inescapable duality that becomes, at times, overwhelming. The song sees me tackling one side of myself with humor and the other side of myself with passion. One side feels deserving of the good things that come to me while the other side feels stuck in an unwanted habit of self-sabotage. It’s a bit of a mood swing of a song that I feel many can relate to. Ultimately, it’s about acknowledging the partitioned soul, the partitioned mind, and attempting to fuse them against the forces that repel them.”

Standing up for Watts with a scorching signature style ready to explode this summer, buzzing Los Angeles rapper D3szn unleashes his debut In My Projects EP today. Listen to the In My Projects EPHERE.  Watch the video for “Goofy Ho” HERE.

He locked and loaded the project with seven airtight 21st century West Coast anthems. It opens with a hard-hitting throwback beat punctuated by finger-snaps during the warning of “Don’t Get Caught Lackin” [feat. Juice]. Guitar wraps around claps on “Show No Love” [feat. Fredo Bang], while “Letter to God” offers a moment of raw introspection as he prays through autotune on the track, “Lord, forgive me for my sins. It all culminates on “Red Rags” [feat. YG Mozzy]. These three California spitters lock into a punchy groove with one last undeniable chorus.

He initially paved the way for the EP with “Mud Baby” [feat. Kalan.FrFr] and “Drip” [feat. E-40 OHGEESY], putting up a million total streams in advance of its arrival. Right out of the gate, UPROXX touted it among “The Best New Hip Hop This Week” and raved, “It’s a punchy, un-PC, post-ratchet anthem and a salute to the grimy dudes down to do whatever for the come-up.” HipHopDX noted, “Watts-bred rapper D3szn continues to put on for the Westcoast on “Drip” with the help of California rap-heavy hitters E-40 and OhGeesy.” Bleu Mag proclaimed, D3szn represents another chapter for the West Coast.”

We’re ACER, a dream pop duo composed of multi-instrumentalist, Kyle Gottschalk, and vocalist, Connory Ballantyne. Together, we function like a producer and rapper, taking influences from both contemporary hip hop and shoegaze.

Our new single is really about watching yourself fail and hoping for someone you love to be there to catch you. It was inspired by the suddenly very publicized failures I was seeing around me and in my own relationship – on both sides – at the time, and the lack of empathy for each other in those vulnerable moments. Sometimes we truly need someone to call you up instead of calling you out.

Watch our official music for “Someone Else’s Dream” on YouTube.

We wanted to capture a feeling of resignation… of letting go of something or someone. There’s a lot of beauty but also melancholy in that. I think musically, the song tells the story of that journey and processing those emotions.

Writing our EP, a six-track self-titled, was about overcoming adversity by confronting and acknowledging these powerful feelings that can exist just beneath the surface. By bringing them to light, we can heal. The album frames the tension and release between heart-hurt and catharsis. How expansive the emotional landscape of relational birth/disintegration can hold for us, from start to finish.

Landscapes can change, but only because we move past them. Memories change, but only because we move further away from them. The moments and choices we make stay the same forever.

Thank you for listening,

ACER

Says Star2, “We’re going to show you how the West Coast, California people be doin’ it!” “We’re gonna lit the city up! LA’s gonna be on FIRE because of us, man. Cali—for-nia!!  We’re gonna switch the game up…me and Bino…HoodTrophy Bino!”

Bino replies, “The kids are the dopest part!” referring to the gang of young extreme skateboarders flying off the lip of the bowls at the famous Venice Beach skate park who spontaneously became part of the video and began chanting “Go! Go! Go!” from the song.
Eleven year old stand-out Jake Familton (@stuntmanjake2011) swoops down into the bowl where Star2 and Bino are singing and being filmed, catches air off the lip and roars back down.

“It’s a dream, a real life dream…” comments Bino looking at the first takes of the video with him and Star2 cruising in classic Low Rider cars with dancing from the famous Tommy the Clown and his T Squad.

Star2 Bio:

Star2 is an Asian-American singer, songwriter and rapper who seamlessly blends pop, R&B and hip-hop for an enthralling immersion of sound. Raised in inauspicious circumstances, Star2 takes influence from overcoming his life struggles, creating music that is bold, high-spirited and soulful.

Star2 is a true survivor. Born into a refugee camp in Thailand, his family walked over 500 miles through the jungle to escape Burmese soldiers when they attacked and burned down their village. As Karen’s (Kuh-ren), a minority group that the Myanmar government has tried to destroy, Star2 (and his family) has faced immense adversity and racial opposition for generations. With no father or mother by his side, his grandmother was chosen in a lottery to be able to migrate to the United States and at the age of six years old, took him to San Diego where he began his new life. Unfortunately it wasn’t an easy one, as a young kid living in the inner city, his family struggled financially and he lived with an uncle who was addicted to drugs.  Adapting to living in a new world filled with cars, electricity and paved roads, he was overwhelmed and overstimulated. Star2 found solace, however, turning to music as a teen, learning to rap, sing, write and perform. With a diverse set of influences including Justin Bieber, Tyga, Chris Brown, and more, he developed his own musical style complete with winning hooks, rich harmonies, and distinctly progressive R&B soundscapes.

Since 2020, the prolific songwriter has released a series of genre-bending singles with superstar producer Chico Bennett (Prince, Madonna, Lady Gaga, the Killers, Britney Spears) that have entranced audiences worldwide. His collaborations with acclaimed rappers Luh Kel, MarMar Oso, YSN Flow, $tupid Young, and Lil Poppa have gained him further recognition as an artist on the rise.

Meet the most unique and greatest lounge band in the land, King Salamander. They are thrilled to release their new single “Drams & Dames” that is out now.

With a lyrical mastery that speaks on all of life’s moments paired with a dynamic voice that reveals a well-travelled soul and the burning embers of passion within, Ollee Owens is a musical force of nature.

Combining burning intensity with elegant grace and skilled composure wrapped in an electrifying blues rock veneer, the result is an unforgettable, emotionally charged musical experience that moves both body and soul, creating a lasting connection through shared experiences and love of good music.

Raised in the Canadian Prairies, music was always around Owens growing up. Artists such as Elvis, Odetta, The Band, Mavis Staples, and Bob Dylan were formative in her teen years. But more than just listening, she took comfort in writing her own songs, seeing music as a way to process the chaotic nature of life and give visibility to her own feelings. And even when Owens took a 15-year respite in order to raise a family, she never fully put a cap on her passion for music, volunteering as a music therapist, occasionally performing, and always continuing to write songs.

At an early age, music was introduced to him. He started singing when he was only three years old, influenced by his very musically inclined family. From his great uncle Dean Macario Fronda, who composed the historical Panagbenga Flower Festival hymn to his grandfather who was a leader of a military band. Rafi has inherited the talents of his family and has been trained by different well known artists such as The Voice US‘ Vocal Coach Romeo Johnson, Vocal Coach of the stars Stevie Mackey, Scotty Grand of hit T.V. Show The Wonder Years and Multi-Platinum Winning Composer/Songwriter Vehnee Saturno.

Rafi Jag is widely regarded for being awarded internationally and earning the title “Best Male Vocalist of The World” apart from other accolades at The Golden Voice competition held in Dubai. Apart from this he garnered multiple medals at the 23rd World Championships of Performing Arts in Long Beach California.

Rafi Jag is often hailed for his musicality and the way he tells a story through the music that he embodies within each performance.

When I perform, you not only hear the song. I make sure you can feel my heart.

You better watch out, you better not cry, because global drag icons and RuPaul’s Drag Race stars, BenDeLaCreme and Jinkx Monsoon are coming back to town with the wildly successful, internationally acclaimed The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show (Produced by BenDeLaCreme Presents). The 22-city North American tour will run from November 23 – December 30 across the U.S. and Canada with a new show written by Jinkx & DeLa that proves why they’re still the reigning “queens of Christmas” (Entertainment Weekly).

Following the massive success of three previous holiday tours, fans can expect another year of fabulous spectacle, whip-smart comedy, brand new songs, and annual favorites. Join the sugary DeLa and spicy Jinkx for an evening The New York Times says is “sure to lift your spirits and make you howl with laughter.”

BenDeLaCreme says,The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show is joyous, hilarious, surrealist, communal, and heartwarming. Nothing makes me feel more connected to the good in the world than the seas of people we get to celebrate the season with night after night–laughing, cheering, and being in our feelings together. I’m so lucky to get to experience that each year, and I hope you all will experience it with us.”

Jinkx Monsoon (who’s currently slaying the competition on All Stars 7) adds, “The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show will take everything you expect from a drag queen variety show, and spin it on its side. It will test the limits of stupidity, while being unexpectedly deep and reflective. We strive for entertainment while always proving that the holidays are for you to celebrate however you want to.”

BenDeLaCreme and Jinkx Monsoon are the sole writers of their holiday shows, a major achievement for two drag artists who tour at such a large scale each year. Jinkx says, “I think it is important that the show is created BY us, so it’s decidedly FOR us, and those like us. So often, queer and drag stories are written by outsiders, and lack an authenticity that queer audiences crave. Creating the show ourselves, from the ground up, ensures that that authenticity is infused in every aspect of the production.”

DeLa adds, “Jinkx and I LOVE writing. We are passionate and have something to say. It comes from the heart. Writing AND performing as a combo is the best way for us to express what drives us as artists and as humans and fortunately, on top of that, people just happen to think we’re very funny.”

For the past four years, Jinkx and DeLa have owned the season with their sold-out holiday tours including To Jesus, Thanks for Everything in 2018, All I Want for Christmas Is Attention in 2019 and The Return of the Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show, LIVE! In 2021. In 2020, BenDeLaCreme produced her first-ever film under BenDeLaCreme Presents with The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Special (Hulu / PVOD), a 60-minute variety special made for the screen. The special debuted to critical acclaim and solidified itself as a global queer holiday must-watch for years to come.

The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show is co-written and co-created by BenDeLaCreme and Jinkx Monsoon, directed by BenDeLaCreme, and produced by BenDeLaCreme Presents, a company comprised of producers BenDeLaCreme, Kevin Heard, and Gus Lanza. EDGEOUT Records and The Revelries are excited to share “Sleep Talk,” the latest release in a  string of anthemic pop-rock guitar-driven song releases via EDGEOUT Records.

Kyle Dion drops off a tender-hearted new single “Spoon & Bang” accompanied by an intimate visualizer featuring a cameo by fellow R&B artist Joyce Wrice

<QUOTE> – Kyle Dion

A boisterous rising star with a bright falsetto and golden pen, Kyle Dion can’t stay put. After releasing his heartfelt ode to traditional R&B, SUGA, in 2019, he couldn’t help but expand his talents and set his eyes on creating a classic turn-up album in 2021, his sophomore project, SASSY. Playfully rapping and exuding even more bold confidence, Dion reinvents himself in the next chapter of his career, showing off the fullness of his personality by throwing out any and all rulebooks.

To create an effective turn-up record, Kyle needed to access sides of his personality he hadn’t explored before musically. Once he loosened up and became comfortable laughing at himself and the process, in part due to his light-hearted relationship with album collaborators, producers, and friends Chris Hartz (Childish Gambino) and Bijou Choder (Brasstracks), he found the sound of the album, a joyous and exclamatory soundtrack to better times. Whether it’s going outside for the first time in a year-plus or greeting your friends and staying out all night for renewed camaraderie, SASSY is an anthem for the world to come.

The proudly independent artist possesses a soul from another era and creates a sound refreshing to any generation. From the small community in Florida where he grew up to effervescent Los Angeles, where he’s worked with artists like Kehlani, Kali Uchis, and PartyNextDoor, Dion is blazing a unique path.
