Netflix Announces Thriller ‘Dark Wire’ Led By Jason Bateman

Jason Bateman has officially signed on to direct Netflix’s film adaptation of ‘Dark Wire’, based on journalist Joseph Cox’s upcoming novel of the same name. The project hails from Shawn Levy who is serving as a producer.

“uncovers the true story of how the FBI launched a fake telecom company and became a phone service provider to some of the world’s most notorious gangs, culminating in the arrest of more than a thousand international criminals,” reads the synopsis.

‘Dark Wire’ marks the actor-filmmaker’s latest project with Netflix following the series conclusion of the popular series ‘Ozark’. Apart from this upcoming thriller, Bateman will also be next be seen starring in Netflix’s Taron Egerton-led thriller film ‘Carry On’.
