Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell Have Signed On For An R Rated Rom-Com, and Powell Talks About ‘Captain Planet’ Movie

Director Will Gluck is said to have found his next project in a new rom-com. Deadline has reported that Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell are set to star in an upcoming R-rated rom-com from the director. The film is currently untitled and its plot is being kept under wraps. Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Gluck are all set to produce, with Sweeney also getting an executive producer credit. It is also reported that Sony Pictures have picked up the rights, with shooting beginning next month.

Gluck has directed other rom-com’s including the popular ‘Easy A’, starring Emma Stone. From there he went on to direct ‘Friends With Benefits’. We will bring you more on this project as it comes to light. Powell also gave an update on his rumoured project with Leonardo DiCaprio and the ‘Captain Planet’ movie;

“I think those conversations will be happening shortly,” Powell said. “I know DiCaprio is super passionate about it. I’m super passionate about it. I think it could be great … I want that one to work. I’d love to play that superhero.”
