Apple TV+ has debuted a first look at three of their brand new shows. ‘Dear Edward’ is the upcoming heartfelt drama based on Ann Napolitano’s acclaimed novel, debuting February 3.
“The series is a heartbreaking, life-affirming, and uplifting story about survival, resilience, connection, and the examination of what makes us human,” reads the synopsis. “It tells the story of Edward Adler (played by O’Brien), a 12-year-old boy who survives a devastating commercial plane crash that kills every other passenger on the flight, including his family. As Edward and a diverse ensemble of others affected by the tragedy try to make sense of life after the crash, unexpected friendships, romances, and communities are formed.”
Next up is ‘The Big Door Prize’ the upcoming series adaptation of M.O. Walsh’s novel of the same name. It will be written and executive produced by showrunner David West Read, who’s best known for his work on the award-winning comedy Schitt’s Creek.
“The story tells the story of a small town that is forever changed when a mysterious machine appears in the general store, promising to reveal each resident’s true life potential,” reads the synopsis.
‘Hello Tomorrow!’ is Apple’s upcoming sci-fi dramedy starring Billy Crudup as a traveling salesman who’s convincing people to live on the moon. It will debut February 17. Starring alongside Crudup is Crudup are Haneefah Wood, Alison Pill, Nicholas Podany, Dewshane Williams, Emmy Award winner Hank Azaria, Matthew Maher, and Jacki Weaver.
