Amazon Studios has released the first look teaser for ‘Dead Ringers’, the upcoming limited series adaptation of David Cronenberg’s 1988 thriller of the same name. It will debut on Amazon Prime Video April 21.

The series is led by Oscar winner Rachel Weisz in the dual role of twins Elliot and Beverly Mantle, who was originally portrayed by Jeremy Irons in the film.

“The series follows Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twin gynecologists who share everything: drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes – including pushing the boundaries of medical ethics – in an effort to challenge antiquated practices and bring women’s health care to the forefront,” reads the synopsis.
