Blumhouse and Screen Gems are currently developing a spin-off to the successful horror film Insidious. It’s set to be called Thread: An Insidious Tale, with Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani set to lead the film.

‘Thread’ will be directed and written by Jeremy Slater, with James Wan serving as a producer through his Atomic Monster banner. According to Deadline Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani will play a married couple, “who enlist the help of a spell to travel back in time, such that they can prevent the death of their young daughter. The consequences, of course, prove to be severe.”
