Ellie Goulding – “By The End Of The Night”: British singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding released a single that brought her back to her old sound. It’s the type of sound I’ve missed from Goulding and I hope we get to see more. The single called By The End Of The Night is a testament to Ellie’s incredible talent. It showcases her exceptional vocal range and ability to create music that resonates with listeners on a deep level.
Labrinth – “Ends & Begins”: This song is the last track taken from his latest record called Ends & Begins. It marks his first studio album since Imagination & the Misfit Kid (2019). The album was described as being “sci-fi love songs for my beloved” by Labrinth.
Westside Boogie & Cozz – “Headhunters” (feat. Kevin Ross): Talented singer / songwriter popularly known as Dreamville, WESTSIDE BOOGIE & Cozz dropped a new single this year called Headhunters which features Kevin Ross. It’s taken from the Creed 3 soundtrack, a record worth listening to for songs like these.
Ruel – “GO ON WITHOUT ME”: “GO ON WITHOUT ME“ is the opening track of Ruel’s sophomore studio album 4TH WALL. In an interview with Apple Music, Ruel spoke about the single;
“Every time I’ve tried to make a euphoric, uptempo song, I’ve always tried to contrast it with depressing lyrics that people don’t really realise until they actually get into it. The song is about you know you’re going to let someone down, and it’s from the perspective of, ‘Hey, I wish this could work, but I’m just going to end up hurting you, and I respect you this much that I don’t want you to think that it’s going to go any other way.“
G-Eazy – “Tulips & Roses”: G-EAZY released this song earlier this year, and samples “Blame” by Gabriels. It was G-Eazy’s triumphant return to music after taking time off following the death of his mother. The music video for the single is directed by Roxana Baldovin.
Jai Wolf – “Want It All” (feat. Evalyn): Jai Wolf dropped his first official single in three years, “Want It All” featuring rising pop sensation Evalyn.
“This era feels like a true rebirth by pushing my sound into new territories while still feeling grounded in my usual sonic palette,” says Jai Wolf. “While a lot of electronic music is defined by the production, I really wanted to focus on lyrics and songwriting for the new music. It’s been cathartic putting my feelings to paper and then extrapolating them even further through interpretative dance for the music video. I’m grateful for Evalyn, Andrew, Monica, Rishi and Manfred for being a part of this record and bringing the music video to life!”
Juice WRLD – “The Light”: I have to say as of recent I’ve become a huge fan of Juice WRLD’s music and this is a great example. On “The Light,” Juice WRLD details his demons and struggles with love, noting how his significant other is the “light“ in the darkness.
