Following the success of his freshman album “The Moving Company” and its viral hit “Crazy,” which amounted over 600 million views on TikTok, Stephen rides into the summer on a horse called “Montero.” This country western cover of Lil Nas X’s hit releasing on June 23rd was produced by legendary drummer & producer Buddy Gibbons and features A-List musicians including American Idol alum, Casey Abrams. A “spaghetti western” music video will also premiere with the single, featuring many exciting cameos including Kevin Chamberlain (Jessie),  Challen Cates (Big Time Rush), and Casey Abrams (American Idol).

Stephen Kramer Glickman is looking forward to sharing this new single, as fans and celebrities have loved his past work. He released a debut album of cover songs, entitled The Moving Company, on August 4th. 2022. The album contains covers of Billie Eilish, Radiohead, The Beatles, Post Malone, Soul Asylum, Green Day, Bob Dylan, and more. Glickman also released a Joker-inspired music video for his cover of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” on the day the album drops. His version of the song gained mass popularity on TikTok as part of this trend, amassing a whopping 600,000,000 streams thanks to the help of Addison Rae, Ben Platt, and CeeLo Green himself. CeeLo Green was so impressed by the cover of his hit song, he asked Stephen to join him on tour and perform “Crazy” during the opening act. Stephen also joined American singer-songwriter, Lisa Loebon her tour.

Soon after the release of his cover of “Montero,” Glickman can be seen on screen for his new show “The Guest List with Stephen Kramer” premiering on July 20th, in line with the first day of San Diego’s 2023 Comic- Con, which Stephen will also be in attendance. To promote the show, Ike’s Love & Sandwiches will be making a custom sandwich and hosting a meet and greet for fans to meet Stephen on the opening day of Comic-Con. “The Guest List” is a meta-chaotic variety show featuring Grammy winners, American Idol stars and some of the hottest stand-up comedians in the game. Inspired by adult-centric variety shows of the 1960s like Playboy After Dark, Glickman unpacks topics such as relationships, heartbreak, family and self-care. The show features notable celebrity guests like Nick Thune (Knocked -Up & Venom), Alonzo Bodden (comedian/ actor of Scary Movie 4), and Mary Lynn Rajskub (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia). It will be released on a new streaming entertainment alternative platform called HITKOR– featuring comedy, live concerts, and a fully customizable entertainment experience.

Hi Stephen, welcome to OLC! For everyone out there tell us how you got started as an actor and in stand-up?

Those two things kind of fell like dominos in my life. I was working at Legoland California as a security guard when a distant relative asked me if I would star in a musical that he wrote and tour the country. When we landed in Los Angeles, our theater got flooded, and we had to sit around the hotel for a month while the place dried out. The hotel was connected to a bowling alley and, at the bar, they had stand-up once a week. After being bored off my ass for a week, I decided to take the leap of faith and do stand-up; I was immediately hooked. I quit the tour, moved on to a comedian’s couch and twenty years later, I’m still making fun of myself on a regular basis.

Everyone will obviously know you from your role on Big Time Rush, can you tell us about your experience on that show and how much it meant to you being a part of it?

It was a very fun experience creating a character that was a part of so many peoples’ childhoods. I got to work with Fred Savage, Snoop Dogg, Bobby Lee, Jeffery Ross, Russell Brand, and of course, the most talented boy band to ever win a Kids’ Choice Award.

Now on July 20th, were excited to hear you will be releasing a new variety show called “The Guest List”, can you tell us a bit about the show and what people can expect from it?

“The Guest List” is the house party to end all house parties. Chock full of celebrity guests, this show takes a modern spin on the classic “Playboy: After Dark” series. You’ll hear performances from: Grammy winner Lisa Loeb, multiple Platinum recording artist Haley Reinhart, along with stand-up performances from the Sklar Brothers, Last Comic Standing winner Alonzo Bodden, and so much more. Watch me learn about falling in love, dealing with heart break, focusing on family, and ultimately, mastering self-care.

You have some incredible guests on the show including Haley Reinhart and Lisa Loeb to name a few. Who was your most memorable guest and what made the episode special to you?

Oh, that’s easy! Ultimately, it’s got to be male supermodel Fabio, who was there in every episode to give me life advice that I cherish to this day.

Was there anyone who inspired you to do this variety show or anyone that you wanted to emulate?

Again, I was a huge fan of Hugh Hefner’s show “Playboy: After Dark” and am amazed that this show hasn’t been copied more often. It’s a show I’ve wanted to make for a long, but I’m finally at a place in my career that I can create it. I’ve lived in LA since 1996, and it’s a magical thing to be able to call upon all of those people that I’ve met over the years to bring them in and make this show. When we reached out to guests for the show, we ended up with so many “yes” replies that we had to send gift baskets to the stars that we passed on in hopes that we can bring them in for next season.

You also launched a podcast called ‘The Night Time Show’, first of all what made you want to start your own podcast and where did the idea come from?

Our podcast started six years ago and has featured over 250 guests including six Oscars winners, twelve Emmy winners, three Tony winners, five Grammy winners, and more Kids’ Choice Awards than members of BTS.

On top of all these amazing things you’ve also released a new cover a country version of ‘Montero’, what made you want to do this and how did the idea come about?

About a year and a half ago, I was on a date with a girl and she said I shouldn’t sing “Montero” since it was written by the devil. I told that girl to get the fuck out of my car. That was enough inspiration for me to pursue it. From there, I teamed up with producer Buddy Gibbons and leaned in hard on the Johnny Cash-style version of the song.

The video for the song is amazing, where did you shoot it? And how hard was it riding a horse? lol

My co-director Andy Chen and I went out to Landers, California, to the White Horse Ranch and had an absolutely awesome time riding horses and shooting guns all day. I grew up being raised by a single mom who gave horse-riding lessons, so riding wasn’t much of a stretch. But I have to learn not to yell “Bang!” when I fired the gun.

Is there anything else you have in the pipeline that you can tell us about?

I have tour dates on the books for August and September, and I’m working on mastering the covers of four different songs, including “Matilda” by Harry Styles, “Stay” by Rihanna, “Fields of Gold” by Sting, and “Raining in Baltimore” by Counting Crows.
