RAC – “Let Go” (feat. Kele & MNDR): Andre Allen Anjos is better known as RAC, a musician who first found success by remixing other people’s songs. His remixes for artists like Lana Del Rey have gotten millions of plays online. In 2013, RAC released Strangers, his first album of original material, and in this episode, he breaks down the song Let Go from that record. It features guest vocals from Kele, best known as the frontman of the band Bloc Party, and singer MNDR.

Shab x Fat Joe – “Voodoo”: Taking inspiration from Fat Joe’s 2004 hit ‘Lean Back’‘Voodoo’ takes that foundation and transforms it into another hit. SHAB collaborates with Fat Joe on the track, because let’s face it there is no other rapper who could do that instrumental justice.

Jonas Brothers – “Little Bird”: Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas have written a record that feels like love letters to their wives and children, and no song on ‘The Album’ is sweeter than the penultimate track, ‘Little Bird’.

The Chainsmokers, ILLENIUM & Carlie Hanson – “See You Again”: “See You Again” is the third single off of The Chainsmokers fifth studio album. The song features American DJ ILLENIUM and american singer Carlie Hanson. The song marks the second collaboration between The Chainsmokers and ILLENIUM after their 2019 song Takeaway.

Jennifer Hudson – “Mr DJ (feat. Ma$e)”: Adam Sandler’s third Netflix Original movie, Sandy Wexler, spawned a hit in the making, and that was of course the Jennifer Hudson song “Mr DJ”.

Teddy Swims – “Amazing”: I got the chance to see Teddy live and perform this song. When you listen to Teddy Swims, you’re going to have to rethink your definition of the word versatile. An innovative mix of gospel, soul, and country with some poppy hooks mixed in, and this song “Amazing” is a pure perfect blend of this.

Teddy Swims – “Bed On Fire”: The song talks about the power that comes with being deeply loved, Teddy expands on the inspiration behind the song: “‘Bed On Fire’ comes from a place of genuine fear of loving someone so much that if they ever got up and decided to leave you at any moment they could crush your whole world.”

Metro Boomin, A$AP Rocky, Roisee – “Am I Dreaming“: “Am I Dreaming” is a song by American record producer Metro Boomin, American rapper ASAP Rocky, and American singer Roisee. It was released through Boominati Worldwide and Republic Records as the second track from Metro’s first soundtrack album, which was for the film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Metro Boomin, Coi Leray – “Self Love”:Self Love” is a song by American record producer Metro Boomin and American rapper and singer Coi Leray. It was released through Boominati Worldwide and Republic Records as the ninth track from Metro’s first soundtrack album, which was for the film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Iggy Azalea – “Money Come”: “Money Come” is the lead single of Iggy Azalea’s fourth studio album. Iggy brings another hard-hitting, braggadocio track to the table, exploring themes of sexual empowerment, dominance, and financial independence. “Money Come” marks the first release of Iggy’s collaboration with Tricky Stewart, the executive producer of her fourth studio album.

Philmon Lee – “Baby Don’t Cry”: We featured this song before, but we had to circle back to it because it’s a surefire hit. From the Epic Records artist Philmon Lee, who spoke with Prelude Press about the single stating;

It was really a blessing. Thug heard a couple of my tracks and wanted to meet me. I went to the studio, and I played him a bunch of records. A couple of weeks later, we got together again, and he hopped on ‘Baby Don’t Cry’. Honestly, he’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He’s really humble, and he gave me a lot of gems about the industry. Lyrically, it’s about a girl whose feelings are hurt by another dude, and you’re trying to relate to her and let her know you’re the better option.

Marco Giovanni – “Straight Face”: Singer/songwriter Marco Giovanni has released his debut single, “Straight Face,” out now on all DSPs. Produced by GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and producer Poo Bear (Justin Bieber, Usher, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez), the airy R&B mood booster is just the first taste of what’s to come from the emerging artist.
