Eric Prydz has announced the monumental return of his audiovisual experience HOLO to NYC, marking HOLO’s first return to the city where it made its North American debut in 2019. Held in partnership with underground events collective Teksupport, the acclaimed live series will take over a TBA Brooklyn location for three nights on November 22, 25, and 25.

Prydz’s HOLO concept utilizes cutting-edge technology to create an immersive visual experience that, when merged with Prydz’s improvisational live DJ sets and original productions, has become one of the music industry’s most impressive, a groundbreaking fusion of audio and visual artistry. Each November show will be a completely unique and individual musical experience.

Spawned from Prydz’s original pioneering use of holograms for his EPIC concert series, HOLO has revolutionized the landscape of live electronic music over the last twelve months, with headlining slots at Coachella, Sonar, Tomorrowland, and an Ibiza residency. The NYC HOLO shows will be the first in America occuring in a non-festival setting and are Prydz’s first standalone shows post-pandemic.

One of electronic music’s brightest stars, the Grammy nominee and Platinum-selling artist Prydz, recently revisited his progressive house alias Pryda for the first time in almost four years with two singles ‘Of Me’ and ‘The Return,’ the latter of which was dubbed an Essential New Tune by Pete Tong.

Led by founder Rob Toma, Teksupport has spent the last decade shaping the nightlife landscape of NYC through cutting edge production, unparalleled musical curation, and never-before-used locales. Pushing the boundaries of traditional nightlife, Teksupport has been the driving force behind some of the most important collisions of club culture, high fashion and technology in recent years. The pioneering event visionaries expanded beyond NYC to throw events across the nation, positioning themselves as the premiere partner for stateside takeovers from global institutions such as CircoLoco, Time Warp, and Mayan Warrior.

Techno powerhouse Charlotte de Witte is following up on her first single release within the KNTXT label ‘High Street’ with a turbo-charged remix package to close out her epic Overdrive Campaign and Tour. Originally signaling the opening of the DJ, producer and record label head’s first US-centric campaign, the ‘High Street Remixes EP’ will be the final release on what has proven to be one of the artist’s most boundary breaking journeys to date. Arriving on September 28, 2023, the package will feature two remixes from DJ and producer Amazingblaze, and trance phenomenon Astrix. Listen HERE. “After playing these tracks during my sets for months, I’m super excited to finally announce that the High Street Remixes EP will be out soon in collaboration with Astrix and Amazingblaze,” says de Witte. “I’m very proud to have High Street remixed by some of the most talented upcoming artists out there. Amazingblaze touched High Street, put his signature sound all over it and turned it into gold. Astrix and I got connected after I played one of his tracks during my sets and we have stayed in touch to continue sharing music, albeit in another genre. Together, we’ve collided two completely different worlds and built a bridge that actually makes so much sense.” Best known for her “dark and stripped-back” brand of techno and crossover to other sounds of the underground, Charlotte de Witte pushes the boundaries of the electronic genre with music that has a distinct and unforgettable sound that is uniquely her own. De Witte’s innovative ability allows her to seamlessly blend genres and styles that have won her a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim.

The melodic and uplifting remix brings de Witte’s already anthemic piece on an unpredictable journey to a new dimension, illustrating his enduring position as one of the world’s leading trance producers and DJs for nearly two decades. The second track in this package comes from amazingblaze, a fast-rising newcomer on the scene who caught the attention of Charlotte de Witte with his unique talent and craft. In this iteration, Amazingblaze reimagines ‘High Street’ by injecting his signature, heavy-hitting hard trance style and distinctive sound. Amazingblaze first joined de Witte’s label in 2022,

The American musician and composer FRANK presents the single “MONEY GIRL$”, an interesting track that develops her sound and personality within styles such as Electro Pop, Breakbeat and Alt Pop. Without a doubt, “MONEY GIRL$” is a perfect track to unleash yourself on the dance floor.

Byland – the cinematic-indie-rock project of Alie Renee Byland – will be releasing the new single, “Monstera.” “Monstera” was written about the journey – both emotional and physical – between Albuquerque (where Ali grew up) and the Seattle-area (where she now lives with her husband and songwriting partner, Jake Byland). Dedicated to a close friend and former band-mate, the song, which Ali says was “brutal” to write, “isn’t quite a love letter, but it is not an apology.” Moving away from her childhood home meant leaving her long-time collaborator after growing up thinking they’d always play music together. “I wasn’t just changing my address – I was breaking a promise,” she explains. I was the migratory bird that couldn’t stay. I was the Saturn that returned then went away.”

The “Monstera” tour will follow that migratory route from Southwest to Northwest, a drive that Alie has done many times over the past decade. This time, though, she won’t be alone – she’ll have her band and Jake along for the ride. All tour dates HERE.

Canadian pop artist Chayce Kennedy is excited to share her new single, “Mr. Super Fine”, which is available across all digital streaming platforms with an accompanying music video on YouTube.

Written by Chayce along with Juno Award-winning producer Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen, Jocelyn Alice) and actor/songwriter Roark Critchlow (“Pretty Little Liars”, “Days of Our Lives”), “Mr. Super Fine” is the first single to drop from the artist’s debut EP, “Yours Truly”, which will arrive in 2024.

An energetic, upbeat pop love song with dreamy, hopeful lyrics, “Mr. Super Fine” exudes the same bubbly happiness that strikes the heartstrings when the possibility of love is within one’s grasp.

Chayce says, “This song is about the feelings that come out when you’re looking for your perfect someone. Through many dates, experiences, and new crushes in my teen years, there’s something innocent and exciting when you connect with someone who could be your person. I wanted to explore that spark that hits you when you don’t know exactly where things will go, but just the thought of being with them is magical enough for right now.”

Based in Penticton, British Columbia, Chayce was inspired to a pursue music after seeing Taylor Swift live in concert. Now a prolific emerging artist and live performer in her own right – with five past singles and over 100 live shows since 2021 – Chayce brought her next slate of songs to past collaborator Stewart and Critchlow, a mentor since childhood. After three new songs were recorded, she added Grammy-nominated Brian West (Nelly Furtado, Maroon 5) to the mix and emerged with two more tracks to complete the EP. Overall, the collective support for Chayce from diverse sectors of the entertainment industry has only strengthened her confidence to reach new highs in a career that is quickly blossoming.

Chayce’s new music promises to offer more personal themes by touching on her own experiences with love, heartbreak, mental health, and body image. “Mr. Super Fine” explores the first of these with pure bliss and optimism, which she believes listeners can apply to their own lives as well.

She says, “In the beginning, love is crazy and scary. If you want it, you need to believe in what you want and give someone else a chance to feel that way about you. If someone feels right, let yourself hope, and let yourself believe in what you could be together.”

Chayce is supporting “Mr. Super Fine” with an accompanying music video, and she will also be opening for Juno Award-winning trio The Good Lovelies on October 26th at the Creekside Theatre in Lake Country, British Columbia. Her next single, “Until This Night”, will arrive in the New Year.

Returning from a brief hiatus, rising singer-songwriter and all round creative entity, Sophia Amato, introduces her latest single “ICONS”. Known for her distinctive style that transcends conventional music genres, the new single stands as a triumphant opus, harmonising seamlessly with the very soul of New York City – daring, unapologetic, and brimming with ceaseless creativity.
Infused with the grandeur of anthemic horns and synths, “ICONS” initially sprouted as a musical piece before organically evolving into a narrative that extends beyond the boundaries of a conventional song. “Inspired by the presence of New York City’s towering buildings, I began exploring the idea that “ICONS ARE ALWAYS LONELY,” a lyric that became the starting point for the song. I wanted to bring the chaos and density of the city into the layers of the song through elements like jazz horns, synths, and vocal stacks. Lyrical verses that resemble snippets of overheard conversations, along with anthemic horns and energetic drums, ICONS serves as an anthem for self-empowerment, a sense of arrival, and my personal soundtrack to the city”, shares Sophia Amato.

female tech-house star VNSSA releases her highly-anticipated single ‘One Pill’, out now via Dirtybird Records

First debuted during Dirtybird’s official stage takeover at Ultra Music Festival in March, ‘One Pill’ emerged as one of the hottest IDs from this year’s Miami Music Week. The track was quickly championed by artists like Diplo, LP Giobbi, DJ Tennis, and Nala, while simultaneously demanded by fans far and wide.

Sampling Jefferson Airplane’s classic ‘White Rabbit’, the track alludes to VNSSA’s roots as an indie rock drummer. Psychedelic guitar melodies swirl amidst the driving bassline and thick kicks, creating tantalizing, hypnotic builds before taking a final turn into the explosive drop that has excited festival attendees and club goers all summer long. An addictive listen worthy of being played on repeat, ‘One Pill’ cements VNSSA’s status as a rising star in dance music.

Newport Beach native turned LA-based producer/DJ VNSSA has made her mark as a staple of Dirtybird.. Since first appearing on the label in 2019, VNSSA has become a prominent face amongst the flock between her consistent appearances at Dirtybird’s Campout and CampINN festivals, and stunning releases like her 2021 Sinking EP with Lenny Kiser and 2022 official remix of Claude VonStroke’s ‘These Notes In This Order‘, which has seen support from Green Velvet, Dom Dolla, and Adam Beyer. ‘One Pill’ marks VNSSA’s first solo single on Dirtybird.

Continuing to garner notoriety with her charming tech-house live sets and exciting peak-time style, VNSSA has collaborated with the likes of Walker & Royce and Steve Darko, and released on labels like Higher Ground, Black Book Records, and Rules Don’t Apply. Currently amidst her ‘Hell Freezes Over’ Tour, 2023 has seen VNSSA perform at festivals like Ultra, Outside Lands, Nocturnal Wonderland, Imagine, and more.

VNSSA invites the flock to the anthemic sounds of her new single ‘One Pill’ out now.

Curt Kiser’s voice and music exist comfortably in the liminal space that Cincinnati, OH occupies. Separated from Kentucky by the snaking bends of the Ohio River and owning a rich history of nascent musical trends that flowed out from here after being metabolized by the larger public(see: James Brown, Hank Williams “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry”, Bootsy Collins, L.A. Reid, Hi-Tek, the second non-PNW band to be signed to Sub Pop and the inventor of circuit bending).

The unhurried nature of the songs on the Blue EP owe much to this sense of Cincinnati being between many worlds. An incubator of sounds that never quite feel at home here. Though existing in this liminality, the “grande, neo-psychedelic” work by Kiser never reaches for a grand metaphor when the he could state it plainly. While Carriers music often feels carried away in this slipstream – Carriers’ guitar melodies are almost visible strands of air, bass and drums so lovingly present in the mix with their edges just barely sanded off; Kiser’s voice – one that he admits struggling to find comfort in – has a distinct, earthy post-Laurel Canyon lilt to it. It sounds perfectly at home singing plain truths on “Patience” ~ “it’s not always better on the other side”; “the chords I play bring the new day” ~ “Heaven’s People”. Lyrics on Blue strike on universal themes: love, patience, faith, family with unvarnished sincerity. No cloak and dagger metaphors. No piss-takes. “Heaven’s People” – a touching rock ballad about family & faith. “Without You” – a chugging slow burner about love, life & sentimental feelings. Thad Kopek’s IDM-adjacent, shape-shifting remix of “peace of mine” showing just how versatile Carriers’ work can be. It all fits.

There is no better encapsulation of these themes than the video for “Patience”. Featuring striking footage of Curt, Curt’s family and familiar Cincinnati vistas and suburban streets that feel like family at this point, “Patience” is comprised of ephemeral moments that, if not captured, would go unappreciated forever. The sunset over Eden Park while the Curt let’s out a “whoop” during the barn-burning outro. Amen Dunes channeling the last 2 minutes of The Blue Nile’s “Downtown Lights”? Hell yeah.

For some the origin story of Carriers is canon. After the demise of Curt’s successful indie rock band Pomegranates, Curt meets Bryan Devendorf while working at an ultra-regional pizza chain at the zoo, meets John Curley working a similar service industry job. They play together and end up making the powerful double LP Now Is The Time For Loving Me, Yourself & Everyone Else together. Sharon Van Etten, Band of Horses and The War on Drugs sing it’s praise. Shows with Big ThiefSam EvianChoir BoyDamien JuradoSimon Joyner follow. And here we are, the Blue EP serving as an autumn introduction or re-introduction before a forthcoming release on NYC’s Brassland Records. Curt Kiser’s music career up to this point has been nothing but not patient.

Curb Records pop artist, songwriter, and producer Sarah Reeves officially debuts her long-awaited album, Best Days, today (9/22). Since last year, Reeves has been quietly teasing her upcoming release, rapidly dropping singles, reels, and music videos, leading to today’s unveiling of the 16-song studio set. Now, fans can finally listen to the project in full HERE.

Holding writing credit on every track, Reeves explores an entire spectrum of emotions on Best Days. Anchored by the title cut and inspired by the summer breeze of Los Angeles, where she recorded the full-length effort, the songstress blends organic instrumentation, electronic elements, and vulnerable lyricism to craft a record that’s timeless in the stories it tells, yet modern in the sonics it brings to life. From carefree pop musings to raw confessions surrounding relational tension, the in-demand lyricist probes what it means to be human and, in turn, permits listeners to do the same.

“This album was made during one of the toughest emotional seasons of my life,” Reeves admits. “‘Best Days’ was one of the first songs we wrote for the album. It laid the groundwork for the sound and theme. I sang it, anticipating the future amid brokenness in my life. I sing from a different and deeper place on this album than ever. I hope it inspires every person who listens. I believe the best days are truly ahead of us.”

Reeves fueled excitement for the LP by gifting listeners half a dozen tracks in advance of today’s drop. Fans have already shown their appreciation for several previously released selections, including the romantic “Wanna Be Here, which was featured in a Hallmark Channel original movie earlier this year; the deeply personal “Zuma Beach,” which was penned in the wake of Reeves’ decision to pursue a divorce after ten years of marriage; and viral hit “Get Back Your Fight,” which is currently active at pop radio in the U.S., Germany, the U.K., Italy, the Philippines and Australia. The fiery theatrical declaration was written, recorded, and produced solely by Reeves.

The multifaceted artist will celebrate the release of the highly anticipated project today (9/22) in Germany with a performance at the Reeperbahn Festival.

On II, Nature Loves Courage keenly break down the different types of relationships humans entangle themselves in. In the form of five stark dance-rock tracks, we see lead singer McKenna Rowe describe the band’s relationships with social media, art, long-term partners, and unfair power dynamics. Each track contains a riveting groove, with beats made for the dancefloor and Rowe’s ethereal vocals possessing a power similar to GoldfrappJessie Ware, and Annie Lennox.

Their name, adopted from philosopher Terrence McKenna analyzes how scary and intense it can be to expose your personal art to the world. Much like these rational fears, Nature Loves Courage are no strangers to being vulnerable when it comes to the captivating music they craft. Throughout IIwe are welcomed into a sonic atmosphere combining hefty trip-hop adjacent beats with the lusciously soothing vocals of lead singer McKenna Rowe. Originally the brainchild of Rowe, the band now operates out of Los Angeles as a four piece consisting of bassist Jacob Bergman, drummer Garrett Smith, and guitarist Joe De Sa.

Emerging Dublin indie folk artist Anamoe Drive(aka Oisín Leahy Furlong, also known as the frontman of Dublin psych-rock six-piece THUMPER) is set to release his debut single, “Goodbye & Goodluck” on September 28th via Faction Records (James Vincent McMorrow, Sorcha Richardson, Jape) This song marks the inception of Anamoe Drive’s musical journey, offering a glimpse into their unique musical direction.

Initially conceived as a humble lo-fi recording project featuring acoustic guitar and vocals, “Goodbye & Goodluck” eventually blossomed into a sonic blueprint that would go on to define the sound of the incoming debut album. Working with producer Rian Trench (Saint Sister, J. Colleran, Gnod) the song’s instrumentation is the result of fearless experimentation and spontaneous first takes, giving it an authentic and vulnerable quality that resonates deeply.

The lyrics of “Goodbye & Goodluck” delve into the poignant theme of relationship dissolution. Starting with oblique and expressionistic references to “robin eggs” and “standing ovations,” the song gradually develops into more earnest and anthemic turns of phrase, with lines like “I’m singing because I’m sorry tonight.” Anamoe Drive skillfully captures the complexities of the soft end of a profound friendship, shedding the weight of contempt along the way.

Drawing inspiration from acclaimed artists such as Real Estate, Big Thief, Sparklehorse, Bright Eyes, Phoebe Bridgers, Mount Eerie, and Pinegrove, Anamoe Drive offers a refreshing take on indie folk that is bound to captivate listeners.

“Goodbye & Goodluck” is the perfect introduction to Anamoe Drive’s musical vision, showcasing his talent for crafting emotionally charged, introspective songs. This release is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting journey for this emerging artist.

Following the announcement of their new forthcoming album, IN:TENSION, last month, Keys N Krates have now delivered the next single from the project, “Need Your Love,” featuring Taite Imogen, out now via MNRK/Last Gang Records. The new release also comes alongside the reveal of IN:TENSION’s artwork and tracklist, which will feature Lion Babe, Dana Willians, Aaron Carl, and more.

Infused with the soulful R&B inflections of Taite Imogen, “Need Your Love” takes on the form of deep house but with a more powerful edge through Keys N Krates’ tight, irresistible basslines and snappy percussion. Adding to the list of singles thus far (“Higher,” “Say You Love Me,” “Get Up,” and “What Girls Do,” in addition to their debut on Defected Records, “What You Done” with Rochelle Jordan), the Toronto trio has shown that their new housey direction, which is inspired by their lifelong musical influences Masters At Work and Armand Van Helden, fits them to a T.

The intersection between the warehouse and joyful soul—linking brightness and darkness—is what this “Need Your Love” is all about. This is an anthem for the club, inspired by the sounds of New York House from the mid to late 90s as well as modern UKG.”   — Keys N Krates

Middle Sattre originated as the solo home-recording project of composer and songwriter Hunter Prueger while he was based in Salt Lake City, UT.  However, since relocating to Austin, TX in early 2022, Prueger has steadily welcomed collaborators into the fold, expanding the band to its current eight-piece lineup. After a year of performing regularly together, including a summer mountain state tour in July, Middle Sattre have finally shared their debut single, “Pouring Water,” mastered by Heba Kadry and out now via Sad Tree Records
Expanding on the deeply personal song, Prueger shared: “I wrote ‘Pouring Water’ in an attempt to trace the ways that my identity evolved through three romantic experiences. First, I talk about my friend Zoë, who I dated for a summer in high school but never kissed or held hands with. Second, I recall my friend Emma, who I went on one date with in a last-ditch attempt to be straight, but on our date, we both ended up coming out to each other. Third, I tell the story of the first man I ever went on a date with, and the dread and disgust I felt when he asked if I wanted to go back to his place and hook up. After I wrote the third verse, I realized that in every experience, regardless of how I identified, there was something holding me back from diving headfirst into these emotions.”

Opening with the titular track ‘Shadows’, the EP unravels with an overload of ominous basslines and hard-hitting vocal samples as it slithers through the tantalizing tones of the Reservoir Dogs-inspired single ‘Bloodhound’, the glitch-heavy drops of ‘Mad Acid’, and the lowkey elements of ‘Flatline’. The EP also enlists fellow Canadian ColtCuts on ‘Venom’ and Netherlands-based Swift on ‘Usual Suspects’. Continuing to experiment with structure and sound design, Shadows sees MYTHM’s off-kilter bass style evolving over each track and offering the dynamic range within bass music that has made him a perfect fit for the growing HypnoVizion family.

“For this 6-track EP I wanted to have a lot of different flavors within it. There’s my classic styles of dark and deep and then heavy and in your face. I think all the tunes tie together nicely and flow into each other for a proper front to back listen through.” – MYTHM

Daktyl and Benni Ola release their highly anticipated Chaos Theory (Part 2) EP in its entirety, providing fans with the project’s complete body of work. Building off of the momentum accumulated with singles ‘Safe’ and ‘Family Ties’, the duo returns to TOKiMONSTA’s Young Art Records on 9/29 to drop their second collaborative EP, which features two unheard tracks, ‘Redlight’ and ‘Lemonade’, along with interlude ‘Float’, which beautifully ties the two sides of the EP together. At this point, fans know to expect the unexpected from these two. Never afraid to push the envelope, Daktyl and Benni Ola’s collision of influences have conceived new, genre-bending sounds that continue to leave us wondering: “Why does this work?”

Benni Ola, who provides vocals across the EP, is a true Renaissance man. In addition to recording music, Benni’s artistic background spans songwriting, spoken word poetry, modeling, and acting. Daktyl is a music production guru who has accumulated an expansive catalog spanning many corners of electronic music over the past decade. When Daktyl and Benni Ola come together, a special synergy is unlocked. The duo creates music for creation’s sake – fostering an authentic relationship that results in honest art.

A standout track from the Chaos Theory (Part 2) EP that was previously unheard is ‘Redlight.’ Recording this song was the first time Benni Ola and Daktyl had ever collaborated – the beginning of the Chaos Theory saga, and so much great music to come. The track opens with a serene melody, but Daktyl pulls the listener deep into the soundscape with his distorted voice and melancholic words: “At a red light I found out what you want / On a red night we found out what you sunk / my lips on yours they did not linger long / Now take one look at what you could have won.” As the introduction comes to a close, tension builds, before Daktyl introduces a bouncy, grooving instrumental solo. When Benni arrives for his verses, he’s charged with emotion, but with clarity and conviction, Benni touches on love, loss, regret…but ultimately comes around to the pure attitude of ‘screw it all’ anyways.
