Embracing her multicultural heritage, which includes Brazilian, Cuban, and Italian roots, Di Lauro’s latest music is a fusion of RnB, Lo-Fi, tribal, Afro-Brazilian, Cuban Caribbean, and Afrobeats. With an intentional nod to her diverse background, Di Lauro meticulously curated her new band members, including Zenya who sang and helped arrange background vocals on the song. Di Lauro also enlisted the expertise of hitmaker Kasey Phillips to craft a sound that resonates across genres.

“I had my first introduction show of the new music live in LA, and the response was so incredible. People are really feeling this new direction,” expresses Di Lauro, reflecting on the positive reception to her evolving sound.

When seeking a collaborator to engineer, mix, and master her solo project, Di Lauro turned to Kasey Phillips. His immediate acceptance speaks volumes about the undeniable synergy between the two artists.

“The Light” is now available on all major music streaming platforms, including SpotifyAmazon and Apple Music.

• “The word ‘bololo’ is a slang term native to Barranquilla, Colombia, where I was born and raised. It means a big mess, a brawl, simply a messy moment. I wanted the song to sound exactly like the word, kind of noisy, a little annoying, but extremely cool and experimental. I think we achieved it and got a solid track that I am extremely proud of.” – VALÉ

Jayli Wolf, the unapologetic voice redefining alternative music, is thrilled to unleash her highly anticipated new EP, God Is An Endless Mirror. Out today through Jayli’s own label, ALT EDEN, the album is an explosive and bold sonic experiment that pushes the bounds of what alternative music can be. With sounds collected from across Turtle Island, the EP sees Jayli blending her own poetry with organic instruments and elements, and a fusion of folk and alt-electronic styles – Stream.

The sophomore release for the acclaimed JUNO-nominated Indigenous (Anishinaabe/Cree), Queer, activist, actress, poet, alt-pop singer-songwriter-producer and filmmaker, God Is An Endless Mirror thematically explores topics of spirituality, self-love, awakening and healing.

“While I was writing this EP I just kept feeling like there was more I needed to be tapping into,” Jayli reflects. “Every song was about losing my mind, barely holding on, and feeling lost. As I reflected on that I realized that I needed a massive change in my life. I stepped back from acting and bought my childhood farm. Then the music began to shift too – into more resolve, more faith and power. And so there is both music from during the shift and after in this EP, and I am excited for what is to come now.”

rising LA-based singer-songwriter, Noelle Sucks, shares her brand new single, “Ugly Ugly,” marking her first release through Graveboy RecordsInsomniac and Emo Nite’s newest endeavor. Produced by frequent collaborator Joel Ferber, “Ugly Ugly” is an honest and unfiltered track that addresses the reality and turmoil faced when processing unhealthy relationships. Between the anthemic synth and compelling honesty, Noelle allows herself to look in the mirror and accept the past in order to change her future, ultimately leading to self acceptance.

Listen to “Ugly Ugly” HERE.

This song came from the depths of anger and frustration from a specific cycle I keep finding myself in with bad friends,” shares Noelle. “That being said, I was willing to accept my part in it all by looking in the mirror at a time I really didn’t want to. I hope people can scream the lyrics and feel the frustration leave their body, like I do. I feel like it sort of reclaims the meaning of the word “Ugly” a little bit, too. Owning the truth should be freeing, that’s how this song makes me feel.”

Earlier this year, Emo Nite and Insomniac announced the launch of Graveboy Records with Noelle Sucks among the names of their first signees. Emo Nite co-founders, TJ Petracca and Morgan Freed first came across Noelle’s music when they saw the music video for her song “Living Room of My Head,” where she sported an Emo Nite hoodie, and were instantly drawn to Noelle’s artistry. Shortly after they reached out to her, they came to find that Noelle was a fan and had been attending Emo Nite for years. Talk about a full circle moment!

Speaking on the signing, Emo Nite co-founders, TJ Petracca and Morgan Freed shared, “Noelle is an incredibly talented songwriter and visual artist. When we found her we couldn’t believe she was still unsigned. She is very prolific and has put out dozens of releases over the past few years. Noelle’s unique perspective as a filmmaker and songwriter are tied together inextricably. Every song she puts out has a beautiful visual component to it. We’re excited to help her blow up and reach the audience she deserves.”

Coming up, Noelle Sucks is set to play a live set in the Bardot at Emo Nite on Friday, October 6th in Los Angeles, CA. This will be her first performance at Emo Nite in front of a sold out crowd of 1500 fans. Los Angeles psych rock gurus Levitation Room release their next single and video, “Cool It, Baby.” Heavily leaning on funk grooves and satirically riffing on how our planet is burning right before our eyes, the single arrives via ONErpm / The Reverberation Appreciation Society / Greenway Records. Recorded by Jason Kick (Mild High Club, Sonny & the Sunsets) and featuring former member of Thee Sacred Souls Jensine Benitez on backup vocals, “Cool It, Baby” is about as upbeat as impending doom has ever sounded – Stream / Watch.

On today’s release, the band said, “It’s a song that implores the listener with sarcasm to think about the current political, economic and social circumstances we find ourselves in.”

A slice of over-acted, 70s cop movie cheese, the “Cool It, Baby” official video directed by Louis Pei pits The Guy versus The Suits. Through ridiculous antics and exaggerated cuts and zooms, lines blur as it becomes uncertain who you should root for – Watch

the Brooklyn based band The Sees have released their debut single “The Calling,” paired with the announcement of their forthcoming record, Conversations With My Future Self out November 17.

Pushing the boundaries of sonic territory amongst various genres, The Sees have opened the floodgates with “The Calling.” Swelling with instrumental breakdowns and layered sounds, the atmospheric piece takes listeners on a high speed journey deep under the sea, to the stillness that’s calling us to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

This iridescent track is just the start of The Sees’ transcendent and melodic sound. The four piece have already mastered the art of storytelling that can be heard on their concept album Conversations With My Future Self out November 17.

The album illustrates a reflection of how precious time is in a society where it’s always fleeting, reminding listeners to stay in the present moment while also touching upon themes ranging from global reflection, oneness, time travel (in the romantic sense) and more.

Critically acclaimed lo-fi hip hop musician Powfu is thrilled to release his new pop infused track “walk on wine” with Cody Lawless & Milkshakes In The Valley ahead of his forthcoming album Gathered by the Lantern, out October 6th with a confirmed feature in Clash.

This song follows the album’s first single “no balls” that was released on September 8th.

Two Squids (Powfu & Cody Lawless), from a beautiful & mountainous valley of Vancouver, Canada, wanted to make an indie pop duo. As they were sipping on milkshakes at the local 50s diner, they came up with the name Milkshakes In The Valley.  Making their debut release as the duo with “walk on wine”, the boys say the pop anthem is about “the tiresome search for a bad girl with an innocent mind”. Starting the song with an infectious whistling hook, which leads to Cody’s dreamy vocals and into Powfu’s classic polished sound, this song is an exciting new pop/indie chapter for them both. This track is the second single off of Powfu’s anticipated album, Gathered By The Lantern.

The new album shares the name of Powfu’s upcoming ‘Gathered by the Lantern’ European tour. Starting tomorrow, this tour will mark Powfu’s live debut in Europe, with stops in London, Munich (SOLD OUT), Amsterdam (VENUE UPGRADED), Paris (SOLD OUT) and several more (see tour dates below).  In continued support of his new music, Powfu will be playing a SOLD OUT show in Los Angeles, CA at The Echo on November 12 in collaboration with skate brand, ERASED.

female tech-house star VNSSA releases her highly-anticipated single ‘One Pill’, out now via Dirtybird Records

First debuted during Dirtybird’s official stage takeover at Ultra Music Festival in March, ‘One Pill’ emerged as one of the hottest IDs from this year’s Miami Music Week. The track was quickly championed by artists like Diplo, LP Giobbi, DJ Tennis, and Nala, while simultaneously demanded by fans far and wide.

Sampling Jefferson Airplane’s classic ‘White Rabbit’, the track alludes to VNSSA’s roots as an indie rock drummer. Psychedelic guitar melodies swirl amidst the driving bassline and thick kicks, creating tantalizing, hypnotic builds before taking a final turn into the explosive drop that has excited festival attendees and club goers all summer long. An addictive listen worthy of being played on repeat, ‘One Pill’ cements VNSSA’s status as a rising star in dance music.

Newport Beach native turned LA-based producer/DJ VNSSA has made her mark as a staple of Dirtybird.. Since first appearing on the label in 2019, VNSSA has become a prominent face amongst the flock between her consistent appearances at Dirtybird’s Campout and CampINN festivals, and stunning releases like her 2021 Sinking EP with Lenny Kiser and 2022 official remix of Claude VonStroke’s ‘These Notes In This Order‘, which has seen support from Green Velvet, Dom Dolla, and Adam Beyer. ‘One Pill’ marks VNSSA’s first solo single on Dirtybird.

With over 115 million global streams, Alyssa Reid works behind the scenes as one of Canada’s most successful songwriters. Having written for some of this country’s biggest pop acts (Alessia Cara, bülow, Virginia to Vegas, Shawn Desman), Reid continuously pushes boundaries with her signature style and sound. She’s gone 3x Platinum, 3x Gold, 1x Silver and received three Top 10 hits and seven Top 20 hits at Canadian pop radio all while building a career based on a bold and daring approach to pop music.

Her devastating new single, “Sleep Without You,” was written about those very difficult first few months out of a relationship. The ones where it hurts to breathe. Where it’s hard to leave the house, but staying in it feels just as bad. It’s a very isolating feeling. How can they be moving on when you’re so not okay? How can he sleep with her, when you can’t sleep without him?

BRIT Award-winning singer/songwriter Tom Walker today makes a poignant return, sounding like you’ve never heard him before on brand new, on defiant new single “Burn” – listen here.

“Burn” arrives as a rallying cry from an artist who made his name – and earned his Number One album, 2019 BRIT Award, & international hit in “Leave A Light On” – for the candour in his craft. But what happens when that artist, with two million worldwide album sales and over three billion global streams in tow, nearly calls it quits?

The songs he wrote last year for album number two? Binned. The half-measures and second-guessing? Burned. The relationship with his record label? Fractured. Just like any job, Tom Walker wasn’t immune to the pressures of work and high expectations. Exhausted from the ongoing pressure, he was fuming…

“I had just done seven days of rehearsal in a row, straight into a UK tour, then into 2 weeks of writing, worked my arse off every hour, of every day for months,” Tom explains. “When the powers that be came back having a dig at the songs I’d poured my heart and my soul into, I absolutely lost it. I honestly thought ‘I’m going to have to call it a day with music, it was making me miserable’ I was angry, and you can hear that in ‘Burn’. In many lines of work, music included, you give it everything and sacrifice every other aspect of your life and it’s never enough.”

Growing up in small-town Oklahoma, Gwyn Love knew they were destined for something bigger. Now, as the first-ever American artist signed to Vancouver-based 604 Records — they’re ready to take on the world. Over the past decade, their sound has continued to evolve — blending what the artist describes as a punk mentality with an electronic-pop vibe.

La+ch is a multi-platinum producer and composer best known for his work with Coleman Hell and having crafted the genre-defying hit, “2 Heads,” which is currently certified 4x Platinum in Canada and Gold in the US. La+ch has produced records for a wide variety of other artists in addition to his continued work with Coleman Hell.

Gwyn Love says about their new collaboration with La+ch: “die a little less” is about depression and the people in my life that remind me why I choose to stay and try to get better. Mental illness doesn’t go away and it is so overwhelming to deal with sometimes, but the people in my life really help me see hope in the future when I am feeling hopeless.

I’m so excited to finally introduce you to my latest single, Call Me Back.
I wrote Call Me Back after working on a beat that I started a while ago but couldn’t finish. I wanted to challenge myself and write about hope, about never giving up. Call Me Back is basically a conversation between me and the listener where I tell them that everything is going to be okay, that there’s always someone out there to talk to and to go have fun!
3 visuals will accompany the release of the song.

Byland releases “Monstera,” her first original release since 2020’s debut album, Gray, and kicks off a tour in support of the single. The moniker of Seattle-based, Albuquerque-raised cinematic indie rock artist, Alie Renee Byland, Byland’s dynamic sound is often characterized by arrangements full of intriguing time signatures and unexpected chord changes, tethered by timeless lyrics and vocal vulnerability.
“Monstera” cover art“Monstera” was written about the journey – both emotional and physical – between Albuquerque and Seattle. Dedicated to a close friend and former band-mate, the song, which Byland says was “brutal” to write, “isn’t quite a love letter, but it is not an apology.” Moving away from her childhood home meant leaving her long-time collaborator after growing up thinking they’d always play music together. “I wasn’t just changing my address – I was breaking a promise,” Alie explains. I was the migratory bird that couldn’t stay. I was the Saturn that returned then went away.”

Merryn Jeann reveals her hypnotizing new single ‘NUN AT THE AIRPORT’, produced by Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Marianne Faithfull, Torres). Rich and Immersive, NUN AT THE AIRPORT comes as a flawless fusion of Merryn Jeann’s pure vocal talent, poetic lyricism and dynamic visceral sound.

Inspired by a particularly surreal moment during the pandemic, NUN AT THE AIRPORT is a melting pot of expression and imagination, transcending into a blissful, weightless escapism.

Sharing more behind the track, Merryn Explained; NUN AT THE AIRPORT was written during a compulsory (and exxy) hotel quarantine in the Frankfurt airport on my way back to Australia (where I quarantined for another two weeks).

The hotel was inside the airport, my room looking over the foyer which was even larger and more expansive than usual, in its dystopian emptiness, it’s lack of bustle and chaos.

One morning I saw a gaggle of nuns walking about the foyer, with their suitcases trailing behind them up the escalator. The scene of them ascending in this surreal setting gave me the idea for this story- a nun is feeling disconnected and far from God/the spirits, so she decides the only way to understand what’s happening is to talk to god so she hops in a plane to physically get closer to them/her/him/it.

The new single marks the next chapter for the emerging artist and showcases her as an otherworldly prospect who’s multidimensional sound is born to be explored and adored.
