Alle The Dreamer, aka Alessia Iorio, is a songstress from Toronto, Canada who is best known for her dynamic songwriting and unique dream-pop sound. Although Alle loosely describes her music as pop, her fluid blend of vintage and cutting-edge influences has created a sound that is distinctively Alle. This can all be heard in her debut EP, Starting Over, which will be released on October 6th.
Alle established herself in the local music scene early on, writing and recording with collaborators in Toronto, LA, and London. Among them; Samuel Gerongco (Alessia Cara), Bram Inscore (BTS, Andy Grammer), Jeff Shum (John Legend, Camila Cabello), Dayyon Alexander (Demi Lovato, Dua Lipa), and Negin Djafari (Drake). Alle has also accumulated numerous credits: as a featured artist on DVBBS’ single “Wicked Ways” and Morgan Page’s “Beautiful Disaster,” and as a co-writer for Little Mix’s “F.U” (from the 5x platinum album Glory Days), two singles for K-POP superstar Suho, and Baby Ariel’s 2019 track ‘I Heart You’.
On highlighted single “Run Home To You” Alle’s pop prowess shines in an honest, dynamic and anthemic single, inspired by the whirlwind of emotions a heartfelt relationship brings.
“I am just reflecting on how confusing relationships can be, the dynamics, dating in your 20’s, the highs and lows, and all the feelings you go through and experience for the first time.”

The official music video unveiled today spotlights the feel-good energy derived from the track, chronicling a lead-up to a special red carpet event as paparazzi stand by to catch a glimpse of the one with the reign, Lola Brooke. As Lola takes the night by storm, getting ready in a palace fit for the new face of Rap royalty, Bryson and a cameo from rapper, fellow XXL freshman class member to Lola, Rob49 adds dynamism to the star-studded affair. Watch HERE.
Since her last single release, “Just Relax,” coined by Complex as one of the ‘Best Songs Of 2023,’ the momentum for the self-certified ‘Big Gator’ has remained at an apex as Lola achieved her first Billboard Hot 100 charts acclaim and her first RIAA certified Gold recognition for her blockbuster hit single “Don’t Play With It” featuring Billy B. Brooke also debuted her first television performance of the track this past June at the 2023 BET Awards and was nominated for the night within the ‘Best New Artist’ category. Brooke is also nominated at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards for ‘Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist’ set to take place on October 10. Elsewhere, she earned a spotlight as a 2023 XXL Freshman member for the coveted Hip Hop publication and is currently on the Fall/ Autumn cover of international fashion publication Wonderland Magazine, which is now on newsstands.

Effortlessly catchy with dreamy nostalgia, Izzy S.O returns to reveal new single
‘Without You I Don’t Like Sundays’
Empowering and healing, ‘Without You I Don’t Like Sundays’ navigates rebuilding after a break up. Restoring and rebuilding can feel like an uphill struggle, but Izzy S.O’s new single is here to ensure you don’t have to go it alone.
Sharing more, Izzy explained: The new single is about piecing your life together after a big change, it’s about the fear that rises up when you finally have to sit with yourself. It’s reminding yourself that you aren’t just a sum up of the people in your life and that you can just walk around on a Sunday, buy a nice book under the tunnel on Southbank and drink coffee in a coffee shop on your own. You can create your own safety.
Without You I Don’t Like Sundays arrives hot on the heels of ‘Silly Me’ which arrived last month. Infectious and buzzy, the tune showcased bold guitar riffs and cathartic songwriting, scooping praise from the likes of Fizzy Mag, Ones To Watch and Clash who compared the track to ‘prime Garbage singles, or even Alanis Morrisette.’
Born in the West Midlands, Izzy S.O was raised on a diet of musical expression and creativity. Originally turning to poetry as her creative outlet, she began processing her emotions and experiences into a more digestible art form. This later transcended into songwriting, which during the pandemic, evolved further as she began working with producer Dustin Dooley. It was then Izzy cemented her sound which today toes a line between alt-pop and pop-rock and indie. Pulling inspiration from the female greats such as Alanis Morisette, Mazzy Star and Avril Lavinge, Izzy’s authentic expression and rich emotive songwriting is the perfect soundtrack to heal to.
Calgary musician Arturo Marc gets romantic with his new single ‘Nuestro Universo’ out now on all digital streaming platforms. Listen here.
The 1st single from Arturo’s debut EP LUZ set for release on October 20th, ‘Nuestro Universo’ was produced by Juno Award Nominee Luis “El Pana” Tovar and features Venezuelan musician and Latin Grammy Award Winner Hector Molina. The track is a refreshing, chill Spanish tune that would blend perfectly with Latin Pop classics and tropical romantic songs from artists like Alex Cuba and Vicente Garcia.
“‘Nuestro Universo’ is a song about the power and beauty of simplicity,” says Arturo. “I wrote for my life partner María at the beginning of the pandemic, when the world seemed to be crumbling, to remind us to appreciate the small things. I believe when we start being grateful for the smallest details in life, we start to love ourself and others easier and we find ourselves in harmony with the universe. I was inspired by our resiliency as a couple during tough times.”
Arturo is a Venezuelan-Canadian composer, and singer-songwriter known for his unique blend of Venezuelan folk music and Caribbean genres like reggae and ska. Born in Caracas, he moved to Alberta in his teenage years and quickly became part of the Venezuelan community and Latin music scene in Calgary. After years of being the front lead of UnoBand reggae group and performing with ensembles dedicated to Latin cultural diffusion, Arturo finished his music degree at the University of Lethbridge and launched his solo career in 2023 with the announcement of the release of his debut EP LUZ on October 20th.
Jiants is a three piece Indie/pop band from Toronto lead by the songwriting of ex-professional skateboarder Jesse Landen. Jiants performs a unique blend of nostalgic sounding lo-fi indie pop songs complete with great hooks and soaring leads. Once hailed by Paste Magazine as “a band to watch,” they have just finished their fourth album, Tall Tales, and it’s their best effort yet. The record was engineered and produced by Gavin Gardiner (The Wooden Sky) at All-Day Coconut Studios and is set to be released November 10th, 2023.
Their latest single, “Moon Lit,” is a dreamy yet driving track. Jesse explains:
Moon Lit is about walking up to the fact that you might just be chasing the nostalgia of imaginary summer love. It’s about catching yourself dreaming of lustful, humid, summer nights that keep you in a perpetual loop of hypothetical excitement for the unknowns just around the bend. But this time something feels different. There’s a slow unraveling reality that these kinds of nights are now filling you with emptiness and maybe don’t serve you as well as they used to.
Ryan Wayne is a Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He first came to recognition as a founding member and songwriter in the critically acclaimed, award-winning band, The Warped 45s (Pheromone Recordings).
His new album Crow Amongst the Sparrows marks a return to recording after a very difficult time in his life. Last Spring, Wayne suffered two strokes and during recovery, he was left seriously contemplating my priorities. Outside of family and health, music was at the top of his list. He had taken time away from touring and recording with his previous band to raise two young children and to complete a masters degree.
Then, the pandemic hit. Suddenly several years had passed since Wayne had released music or performed live and it became astoundingly clear to him that he needed to get back into the business, both for creative and mental health reasons. During recovery, from the comfort of my bed and home studio, Wayne recorded and produced a series of songs, and collaborated with Grammy-winning producer, Malcolm Burn (Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Patti Smith), for help with some final production and mixing.
Toronto singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist AVIV, who pens D.I.Y pop that feels universally relatable, grew up surrounded by music and learned to play piano and guitar at a young age. During the pandemic, she began writing songs in her bedroom, inspired by artists like Elliot Smith, Lorde, and Radiohead, which led her to sign with Photo Finish Records in the US, and Dine Alone Records in her native Canada. AVIV shared her evocative hook-laden collection of songs called DROWNING IN THE CULTURE in April 2022. Her new single “Running Shoes” is all about an escape. AVIV confides, “They symbolize a gateway to comfort and sanity. In this case, to someone who provides these amenities. It’s the impulsive desire to just put your shoes on and run to safety.” Produced by famed Canadian producer Robbie Lackritz (Feist, Alvvays), “Running Shoes” features saccharine melodies gliding over a lush folk pop backdrop for a slow burned diary of solace.
Eliminate is gearing up to release his latest single, “Playing With Fire,” out on Friday, September 29, 2023.
Quote from Eliminate:
“Playing with fire is about making a song so hot that you run the risk of physical injury just from listening to it”
“Playing With Fire” encapsulates Eliminate’s quintessential sound. While echoing classic dubstep vibes, it pushes boundaries with rambunctious sound design and vocals that are soothing and uplifting.
Behind Eliminate’s powerful beats lies a playful flair that is unmistakably his, a signature touch that echoes both his authenticity and his penchant for the unexpected. Supported consistently by industry powerhouses like Skrillex, his journey from whimsical YouTube content creator to digital-age maverick showcases his unmatched versatility.
Vancouver psych Latin fusion group Los Duendes are pleased to announce the release of their new single ‘Coleslaw’ out now on all digital streaming platforms. Listen here.
‘Coleslaw’ is the lead single from Los Duendes’ debut album Me Recuerdas, which is set for release on November 24th. It’s a vibrant, upbeat track that showcases the band’s masterful musicianship and is the perfect example of the way they combine different influences to create original and captivating music.
“This song was originally born out of a rhythm based on 16th notes grouped in 19,” says guitarist Seb Chamney. “Once the rhythm was mastered by the band, the other sections of the song were composed based on melodies characteristic of classic 1960s Chilean Cumbia.”
Vocalist Sangito Bigelow adds: “Seb showed up one day with this odd meter rhythm played by the bass and guitar as a unison melody travelling in opposite directions. This compositional device was cleverly designed to build tension, bringing the song to its inevitable boiling point. And then Seb, live in studio and in one single clinical take, delivers a spectacular guitar solo to the bewilderment of everyone in the room. This vocal hook had come to me while driving home one day, and over the instrumental it’s almost sinister sounding, calling out to grab your hat and come work in the fields as Toto Berriel sings folkloric improvised pregónes. The song as a whole is frankly just nasty, like chopped cabbage slathered in mayonnaise.”
Only Fire, the 24-year-old music producer and DJ from Zagreb, Croatia, ignites airwaves with his latest remix of Brooke Candy’s erotic club hit, “fmuatw” available today at all DSPs. This marks Only Fire and Brooke Candy’s second collaboration, following last year’s “Yoga,” which was named as one of the best songs of 2022 by Dazed. Today’s remix arrives as a part of Candy’s fmuatw Remixes EP that features remixes by Babynymph and Umru.
Kicking off another chapter, critically acclaimed Cleveland hip-hop phenomenon Doe Boy & Skilla Baby turns up with a hard-hitting and hypnotic new single and music video entitled “Smack Sh*t” out today via Freebandz/Epic Records. Listen HERE watch the music video HERE.
On the track, ominous strings wrap around a punchy trap beat. Doe Boy channels the spirit of his breakthrough street records by bulldozing the production with a barrage of lyrical fire. Skilla Baby rolls through with an equally explosive cameo, while the chantable chorus pops off with undeniable and unforgettable energy. Stay tuned for the premiere of a cinematic music video to accompany the track very soon.
However, “Smack Sh*t” just paves the way for more to come from Doe Boy. Be on the lookout!
It continues a prolific season for Doe Boy. His 2023 album, BEEZY, has generated over 10 million total streams powered up by the likes of “KARDASHIANS” (feat. Lil Yachty & Luh Tyler), which has gathered over 1.1 million Spotify streams. XXL plugged it, while REVOLT noted, “Doe Boy blessed the masses with his latest project, BEEZY.” HotNewHipHop promised, “fans can enjoy the impressive tracks the album has to offer.”
Calgary instrumental pop duo Ginger Beef transmit fun chaotic energy with their new single and video ‘Hocus Pocus’ out now on all digital streaming platforms. Listen here.
The lead single from their self-titled debut album set for release on October 27th, ‘Hocus Pocus’ is Ginger Beef’s take on 1971 track from Dutch rock band Focus.
“We chose Hocus Pocus as a first single because it’s such a fun introduction to Ginger Beef,” says MSG (aka Warren Tse). “The song is catchy and slightly unhinged. Everyone gets to shine on this track, and Jiajia shreds on both western and Chinese flutes. It’s a taster and if you like it, you‘ll probably wanna eat the rest of the meal!”
Ginger Beef’s origin story begins in 2021 when flutist Jiajia Li was asked to present a music video for the Camp Sled Island event in Calgary. She ended up collaborating with veteran multi-instrumentalist / producer / Calgary Flames organist conveniently living under her roof (sheʼs married to MSG) to cook up ‘Flashback‘, an energetic track seasoned with anachronistic synths, slap bass, and traditional Chinese elements — and no singing. Unexpectedly, this one-off only whet the crowd’s appetite for more, and Ginger Beef was born.
Nashville-based pop singer and songwriter Thomas Day announces his full-length project, Love Me For Another Day, out October 27th on Arista Records. The project will include hits like “not my job anymore” and “Gravity” (lyric video out today – WATCH HERE). The final pre-release single, “I Don’t Wanna Leave Just Yet,” will be out this Friday, September 29th.
“This isn’t my debut album. Those words come with a lot of extra meaning and I’m not there yet. This project is a collection of songs that I wrote and recorded when I was 18 and 19, trying to figure out the kind of artist I want to be,” Thomas explains of Love Me For Another Day. “It’s a snapshot of my absolute bleeding heart and I hope you can find some comfort and healing in these songs the way I did while making them.”
This Fall, Thomas will be taking his heartfelt anthems on the road with his first-ever headline tour. Kicking off in Columbus, OH on October 17th, the North American tour will make stops in New York, Toronto, Nashville, and Los Angeles before wrapping up in San Francisco on November 15th. Tickets will be on-sale this Wednesday, September 27th at 12PM local time.
Raised in Yorkshire, Eden jokingly describes her early musical upbringing as having a “Von Trapp vibe”, full of long car journeys packed with family sing-alongs to homemade mixtapes, and multi-part harmonies sung with her siblings; “a lovely wholesome relationship with music,” she nods. Having been an avid writer of teenage poetry, she admits with only a mild cringe, it was when she sang Carole King’s ‘You’ve Got A Friend’ at a talent show aged 13 that she began to tie the ideas of writing and performing in her mind. Eden started taking piano lessons and, a couple of years later, began to pen her own music.
If some artists seem to emerge preposterously young and fully-formed, then the fact that it took Eden a while to evolve into the confident artist, sure of her own musical mindset, that she stands as now feels important. She recalls “overthinking it a lot, trying to fit into a niche that already existed” and coming out feeling empty. “The artist I wanna be is a bit rough around the edges – hopefully in a good way,” she continues. “Who I am as a person is a bit of a patchwork quilt of different things. I used to polish myself up for people, but then I looked around and the things that my friends like about me is that I’m a bit frazzled and slightly chaotic; I wanted to lean into that a bit more because that’s more genuinely who I am.”
Renowned British folk musician – Beans on Toast – has released his provocative new single “AI” via BOTMusic. This release precedes his much-anticipated album, ‘The Toothpaste and The Tube’, set to be unveiled on 1st December.
An artist recognised for both his relentless touring schedule and his ability to tackle significant subjects with warmth, charm, and humour, Beans on Toast continues his legacy with a song that delves deep into the ramifications of the AI revolution on human society.
In “AI“, Beans on Toast pulls back the curtain to reveal a world drastically changed by artificial intelligence. From a society where adverts are crafted by AI systems to a reality where heartfelt eulogies can be generated with the click of a button, the song takes listeners on a journey through a rapidly evolving landscape shaped by technology. Drawing parallels to monumental discoveries such as fire and electricity, the song poignantly suggests we are on the cusp of the next significant leap in evolution — a moment where “what comes next is impossible to predict.”
A mesmerising AI-generated video accompanying the single visually explores mankind’s obsession with technology. It touches upon the great minds of artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Frida Kahlo, and underscores the expansive intelligence gap — akin to the one between humans and frogs — metaphorically represented by a robot frog to signify the advent of AI and the monumental leap it represents in our evolutionary journey.
The singalong chorus, “AI, AI, everywhere we go, AI, AI, it’s the new status quo,” generated through AI, becomes a catchy beacon that encapsulates the omnipresence and inevitable integration of artificial intelligence into every facet of daily life, from our homes to our phones, underlining the reality that we are “never alone.”

Basking in the last embers of late Summer, Montreal singer-songwriter – ALEX NICOL – is back with the new single “Working On My Tan”.
STREAM ON ALL SERVICES HERE || WATCH VIDEO HERE
Exuding a warmth of sound, texture, and soul, the track arrives as the first taste of his forthcoming collection ‘Been A Long Year Vol.1 & Vol.2’.
Laced with gentle humour, laid-back alt-folk arrangements, and set to a relaxed pace that takes the world in its stride; on the surface “Working On My Tan” is a spacious and tranquil listen, but one that conceals a deeper tension brewing beneath.
A song that steps into the skin of someone who is not the complete vision of calm they project, Alex Nicol explains of its subject matter:
“[In “Working On My Tan”] the protagonist runs through a list of ways he’s trying to be present and live in the moment, but he’s clearly struggling to find a sense of lasting calm in an overwhelming world. Ultimately, the song finds its antidote for stress overload by connecting with the natural world, but also examines how difficult unplugging from the grind can be.”
Dynamic indie-pop trio – ISLA RICO – have announced their debut EP ‘Eternal Optimist’ (out 3 November), and today share the vibrant, vibey lead single: “Maliblues”.
A fluid indie-electro cut that sees atmospheric instrumentation surfing upon wavy melodies and buoyant beats, “Maliblues” lands as the first track to be taken from the new EP.
Fusing hazy, heady rhythms with vivid lyricism, the track’s animated approach to storytelling unfurls like fragmented memories returning the morning after the night before. Speaking about “Maliblues”, Isla Rico say:
“”Maliblues” is all about wanting to relax and not keep up with the chase but ultimately losing that battle and ending up consumed by the night and all that goes with it… this song is that journey of being driven into the spirit of ‘nightlife’ in your early years.”
Pushing the limits of indie music through a shared love of pop, Isla Rico first formed in a homemade tiki bar in Manchester. Bringing a unique mix of imagination combined with a contagious, carefree attitude to their music, the trio aim to transport listeners from their real lives toward a brighter place filled with good tunes and great vibes.
Priding themselves on their live show and compelling stage presence, the three-piece turn up the heat in front of a live audience and bring arena-esque shows to every performance. Following a fun-filled summer packed with festivals including The Great Escape and Y Not?, 2023 is shaping up to be quite a year for the trio.
Rising South London lyricist Juai enlists viral star YD for his explosive drill cut “Jungle”.
With cut-throat bars and incendiary sound waves at the forefront of his complex artistry, “Jungle” instantly underlines Juai as a standout prospect in UK rap. Embodying an intoxicating cadence ode to the late Pop Smoke, the 20-year-old talent effortlessly glides across eerie vocal melodies and heavy-set 808s, displaying menacing authority before affiliate YD (1/2 of duo JS x YD) joins the fold to capture the essence of youth culture and inner-city life in South London. Quickly reverting between sharp drill blends and jersey club breaks, “Jungle” is a testament to Juai’s
authentic artistry and will no doubt continue the heat surrounding an exciting new voice across the underground landscape.
Speaking on the record, Juai mentions: “I wanted ‘Jungle’ to be more than just a song; I wanted it to be an anthem for the Southside. When you’re from a place often overlooked or misunderstood, you gotta wear your roots like armour. The track is inspired by the hustle, the grind, and the spirit of our community. It’s a tribute to everyone fighting their own battles while repping where they come from. I hope when people hear it, they feel the pulse of the Southside and know our story is universal.”
Lauren Dejey is back with the release of her brand new single ‘Permanent’, featuring JUST OSKA, which finds her taking a more electronic approach than usual, for it’s doused in a glistening hue of dance-pop beats and animated audio distortion.
‘Permanent’ is a stunning creation delivered by emerging South East London artist Lauren Dejey and collaborator JUST OSKA, where together with help from writing and production team Spacemen, they wrote and produced this infectious, uptempo melody and beat, that demonstrates their broad sense of creativity and talent as up-and-coming artists. The combination of Lauren and Oska’s vocals blend together seamlessly to create a sound full of emotion, that lyrically highlights the anxieties around falling in love in your twenties.
Give ‘Permanent’ a spin below
https://apollodistro.lnk.to/laurendejey
Sharing where the inspiration for Permanent came from, Lauren expresses; “Permanent is a magnetic collaboration written about the confusing dance of modern love, coming in when you least expect it.”
With this new release, Lauren imparts a particular sense of intimacy and affection to the listener, for the track is centered around her experiences in finding and navigating love in the modern age. It speaks to a generation of people uncertain about where they stand in their partnerships and feeling stuck between a place of permanence and temporariness.
Fresh off the back of a busy festival season, Brookln Dekker (aka Dekker and one-half of the Anglo-American Indie-Folk duo Rue Royale) has shared “For Repair”, the third track to be taken from his highly anticipated third studio album ‘Future Ghosts’ (out 16 February 2024).
A soft and sophisticated slice of fluttering alt-pop, “For Repair” hones in on indie and folk influences to create a sound that is just as balmy as it is bold. With lilting melodies, simmering percussion and a mellow approach to vocal delivery delicately pinned together with a silken sheen, the track brings to mind the likes of Orlando Weeks or Westerman. Produced with Dekker’s long-time collaborator and co-producer Stefan Wittich, “For Repair” was mixed and mastered by Zach Hanson (Bon Iver, The Staves, Whitney) in Wisconsin.
The track’s release arrives ahead of a UK tour for Winter 2023. Kicking off in Birmingham on 14 November, the live run will see the US artist head to Bristol, Cardiff, Brighton, London, Nottingham, Manchester, Leeds and beyond. With tickets available now, find full dates and details below.

Having quickly announced himself as an emerging artist to watch. East-London artist Humane The Moon is today revealing the video for his well received second single, “I Saw A Dog”. Directed by Will Robson-Scott and edited by Lydia Bowden, the video features a collection of images from Robson-Scott and Ollie Grove’s acclaimed book, “In Dogs We Trust.” Speaking on the project, he states:
In Dogs We Trust was a project me and Ollie did over a number of years, a number of years ago documenting dogs and their owners on both sides of the Atlantic. Which ended up being a book , In Dogs We Trust.
We are childhood friends and knew each others dogs growing up so looking back on it now it seems like a bit of a celebration of that and also of the companionship of the dog / human relationship.
I havent looked back at these images for a while and its nice to see them re imagined for this video , it also makes me think of the people and places in these photos, from Crufts to Compton, and also some of the people in the simages who sadly arent around anymore. I hope people spot some faces in and amongst the edit.
Sometimes, a song will come to you at the most random of times, then leave you before it’s finished. I found the guitar melody for “Light Up Garden” roughly a summer ago in Mallorca. I was sitting on the terrace of my father’s house, repeatedly singing “There’s a lady in the garden and she’s burning down your porch / Yes, that fire keeps on burning she just dropped another torch.” Lo and behold, a year later the rest of the song came to me when I was alone in Montreal.
Listen to “Light Up Garden” on streaming platforms everywhere.
This sounds so cliche but this tune was an escape for me – just like the hundreds of shows I have played it fulfills me more than anything. No matter my pain, music brings me hope.
Thanks for listening,
Tristan Rene
Twin Cities seven-piece indie collective NATL PARK SRVC have today shared the new double a-side “Alice, Illusions & The Jack Of Hearts” b/w “Our Own Pace”. For a young band that have steadily built a reputation for swinging for the fences with big melodies and grand ambition, these two new releases push them to their highest heights just in time for the Oct 25th release of their MAGICIAN album.
MAGICIAN was announced earlier in September alongside the release of the 00s-indebted video for lead-off single “Dizzy”. The album is the follow up to the band’s 2021 debut The Dance and continues the grand soundscaping of that first outing while taking a firm step forward into a new chapter. While The Dance rode high on an equal mix of youthful exuberance and raw ambition, MAGICIAN finds a way to dial up the exuberance while tightly finessing the delivery.
Front person Dylan Woytcke gives an insight into how these two new singles peek at the heart of MAGICIAN, saying “this is an album of two quite different halves. These two songs close out the first half, which is very emotionally reactive, and less introspective. The voicing of the songs on this half are more emotionally immature, more rooted in outward facing pain. As such, “Alice…” serves as a kaleidoscopic song about a person who moves through the world without care, and how mesmerizing, beautiful, and dangerous that can be for loved ones.”
Creating one of this fall’s most anticipated original drama series, Julien Christian Lutz (Director X) unveils the original soundtrack for Robyn Hood, with the release of “Run This Hood” by The Hood (feat. Tia Bank$, SLM, Bouff). Available via Wax Records, the pulsing track opens the series’ first episode, hooking the audience and setting the dark, dramatic tone of the original scripted series, premiering Wednesday September 27th at 10pm ET/PT only on Global and STACKTV.
Featuring the vocals of Canadian rappers Tia Bank$, SLM, and Bouff, The Hood is a fictional hip-hop group at the centre of the Robyn Hood series. “Run This Hood” is the first of three original tracks that back the modern adaptation of the classic tale that Julien Christian Lutz (Director X) has spent nearly a decade bringing to life. With an impactful soundtrack that continues to push the show’s gripping commentary of today’s social climate, Robyn Hood breaks ground in a way that has yet to be seen in the realm of Canadian television.
