Continuing a prolific hot streak this year, critically acclaimed Cleveland hip-hop phenomenon Doe Boy returns with an incendiary new single entitled “AIN’T BOUT NUN” out today via Freebandz/Epic Records. Listen HERE.
GRAMMY® Award-nominated powerhouse producer Tay Keith [Drake, Travis Scott] cooked up the track, layering cinematic strings over an 808 smack. Doe Boy tears into the beat with force and fire, culminating on a chantable chorus laced with a warning, “My ice on, you ain’t gonna touch it, ain’t bout nun.” Meanwhile, he asks, “Who talking about something? Ain’t bout nun.”
It arrives on the heels of his recent single, “Smack Sh*t” (with Skilla Baby). The latter continues to gain traction with north of 654.5k Spotify streams, while the music video has tallied over 462k views alone. It also reeled-in critical acclaim from tastemakers such as HipHopDX and ATTACK THE CULTURE who christened it “a big anthem.” Meanwhile, VIBE hailed, “Someone can try them if they want to, but it likely wouldn’t end well. This is the anthem for their menacing activities.”
It continues a prolific season for Doe Boy. His 2023 album, BEEZY, has generated over 10 million total streams powered up by the likes of “KARDASHIANS” (feat. Lil Yachty & Luh Tyler), which has gathered over 1.1 million Spotify streams. XXL plugged it, while REVOLT noted, “Doe Boy blessed the masses with his latest project, BEEZY.” HotNewHipHop promised, “fans can enjoy the impressive tracks the album has to offer.”
Giving back to the community, Doe Boy participated in Cleveland’s Back to School Drive at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in September. The drive was hosted by the Myles Garrett Foundation, Klutch Sports, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Last year, Doe Boy continued his rapid rise with the CATCH ME IF YOU CAN EP. It tallied over 10 million streams and earned critical plugs from the likes of Complex and RapRadar who noted, “Doe Boy is hard to kill.” Rap Radar added, “Freebandz artist Doe Boy’s name rings off on his brand new album, Beezy.”

soak in the ethereal sounds of “Shield” from nostalgic grandiose songwriter Bandit Heart. Influenced by Enya records “Only Time” and “Wild Child,” it’s impossible not to be moved by Nashvillan’s latest cut, rich in emotive vocal delivery and elegant production.
Pop on Shield by Bandit Heart via your choice of streaming service; https://apollodistro.lnk.to/banditheart
Speaking about the track, Bandit Heart said, “Shield was a very special song to record for me. It was written about how falling in love (and out of love) comes in waves. I grew up obsessed with one of Enya’s most famous records, which had “Only Time” and “Wild Child” on it. So, Jared Corder (Polychrome Ranch) and I wanted to really dig into the meat of what made her stand out in that time and even now. So we recorded nearly 60 different vocal tracks on 5 different mics and blended them all together. For me this song is a dream-like sequence that really feels like a pounding heart inside of a chest. I love how the beat just takes my ears over in an almost hypnotic wave”.
Bandit Heart is nostalgic grandiose bedroom pop. Think Lana meets Sufjan in the echelon of folk music and 070 Shake. Bandit Heart was founded by Troy Akers of Nashville, TN in 2015. He has had his songs featured on shows like ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ and ‘Reign.’ Since August of 2022, Akers has been recording new music at Polychrome Ranch outside of Nashville with Jared Corder and releasing content monthly. The music of Bandit Heart is ever-evolving as will the new music on the way deep into 2024.
Delilah Brao is that girl you can’t really figure out. You like her, but you don’t know why. She’s elusive. She’s complicated. Sometimes, she feels like a walking contradiction. You love that about her.
In her debut EP, Since You’re In New York, Delilah ruminates on long distance relationships, heartbreak and starting over. Produced by Justin Lucas (Khalid, The Revivalists, Alec Benjamin, Wafia) and mixed by Philip Etherington (Lizzy McAlpine, FINNEAS, Laufey, Tiny Habits), this folk-pop EP is sparsely and delicately produced to showcase Delilah’s moving songwriting and ethereal vocals. She’s singing about herself, and you, and it’s still somehow out of reach.
Her leading single “Over The Phone” is a stunning folk-laced pop single all about heartbreak from a long distance relationship.
She confides, “Over The Phone is about this guy I dated who broke up with me on FaceTime. The call only lasted 5 minutes – it’s like he fit it in between episodes of the series we were watching together. It’s grim. We dated for years. But, long distance sucks and the song kind of speaks for itself in that way.”
Delilah is from Boston, MA and is based in Los Angeles, CA. She has collaborated with notable writers such as DJ Sabrina The Teenage DJ (credits with The 1975), lewloh, and Josh Polack (formerly Mom Rock). Delilah’s music has been praised in PAPER Magazine, Stereo Fox, CULTR and more.
Originally from Uxbridge, Ontario, Tom Hanley began his musical journey as the singer/guitarist in a slew of pop punk bands with “terrible names,” performing at high school parties. It was there he fell in love with playing in bands and writing music. In college, he started a six piece funk band, JUICE, recording and touring for eight years. After years of deliberation, countless wedding band gigs, and 60 songs written later, he’s ready to share his debut single, “Overnight.”
Together with songwriter/producer Nixon Boyd (Hollerado, Dizzy), Hanley has taken the first steps to establishing his sound and production aesthetic as a solo artist. “Overnight” was written right at the beginning of the pandemic. It’s about the first few days of lockdown and how it felt like everything was changing so fast and we had no control. It’s also the title of his forthcoming EP.
What was lost – has been rediscovered. Following a brief absence from the scene (punctuated by a mysterious series of “LOST” posters posted around North America), WHIPPED CREAM returns today with the single “Lost My Way” on Monstercat. The single is a manifestation of WHIPPED CREAM’s growing confidence in her true self, relying on her inner strength and parting ways with the circumstances that no longer serve her artistry. “Lost My Way” is a powerful departure from her sound and aesthetic – notably, shedding the iconic white suit she donned throughout her ‘Someone You Can Count On’ EP era – and promises an inspiring evolution of her personal and musical journey.
WHIPPED CREAM invites listeners to explore the emotions that have shaped her, heard on the new record. Exploring her vocal range WHIPPED CREAM commands “Lost My Way” with her ethereal melody, showcasing an angelic voice that demonstrates her artistry beyond production. The single reverberates cinematically, injected with captivating beats and an enlivening Jersey-fueled bassline that not only speaks to the meaning behind the lyrics, but also captures the essence of her profound journey and self-discovery.
WHIPPED CREAM shares, “Losing the suit symbolizes embracing the unknown and embarking on a fresh start, while having the confidence to leave behind past experiences with a genuine belief in new opportunities. It entails placing trust in the universal forces to guide you towards what is truly beneficial, rather than clinging to what doesn’t align with your inner sense of purpose and well-being.”
Recognized as a genre-bending artist whose sound transcends stylistic borders, as coined by Forbes, WHIPPED CREAM has charted an astonishing path with her production skills, spanning genres from hip-hop to electronic. From working with artists like Latto, Lil Xan, Lil Keed, and gaining official remixes from respected tastemakers like Destructo and Hermitude, her legacy has left an undeniable mark in the music scene. Fully cemented as a Monstercat mainstay with notable tracks like “Light of Mine” with Jimorrow and “CRY,” her journey has been nothing less than meteoric. She’s packed out stages at renowned festivals and venues like Coachella, Lollapalooza, EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, ULTRA, Red Rocks, Monstercat Compound, The Gorge Amphitheatre, and many more. She just wrapped up her first headline tour, where she took to venues such as Meow Wolf Denver and Santa Fe, Stereo Live Dallas and Houston, Lot 613 in Los Angeles, Union Hall in Edmonton, AB, and others.
Back with even more heat, super-duo Jody Fontaine and Baby Boy of AG Club ignite a scorching new three-pack project, “WE’RE ALL BRODIES” out now. Get it HERE via Epic Records.
Once again, the boys show out and reaffirm their status as the most dynamic of duos. “eva” hinges a barrage of relentless fast-paced flows topped off with braggadocios bars and an unexpectedly anthemic hook, “I’m having all the shit.” Elsewhere, off-kilter piano sets the tone for “Barry.” This calm only precedes a storm of tightly crafted lyricism and hilarious verses, “Back in the day I ain’t have no whip, I just pulled up in a motherfucking tank.” Then, there’s “CAJH DAY*.” Flute snakes through the 808s as the guys urge, “I hope you have a very CAJH DAY.” These three tracks find the boys in godmode as lyricists, turning cadences on a dime and speeding up without brakes.
It lands in the wake of this Spring’s two-pack 2MORE. Beyond posting up millions of streams, it earned critical acclaim from HipHopSince1987 and more. Billboard applauded, “AG Club threw a one-two punch with their new two-pack,” before noting, “the duo strives to flip the industry upside down with their presence.”
Growing up in small-town Oklahoma, Gwyn Love knew they were destined for something bigger.
Now, as the first-ever American artist signed to Vancouver-based 604 Records — they’re ready to take on the world.
Born into a conservative family with eight siblings, Gwyn was introduced to music at a young age; picking up the cello at just 5-years-old and writing her first song at 11.
Over the past decade, her sound has continued to evolve — blending what the artist describes as a punk mentality with an electronic-pop vibe.
“I kind of just like to mesh all different styles together. I have a bluntness with my lyrics that you could find in punk music, but once I heard electronic dance music, that’s when my sound really clicked for me,” they explained. “That’s when I really understood how I wanted my music to sound and feel.”
Drawing mainly from their own life experience, Gwyn maintains they hardly ever at a loss for words when it comes to song writing — musical motivation and vision are always priority one.
As a creative deeply invested in every aspect of their sound, and what they puts out to the musical world, it’s their song writing, they maintain, that makes their music special and different.
Walker & Royce release Part 1 of their new No Big Deal album, out now via Dirtybird Records. Featuring recently released singles ‘Cheap Thrills‘ with Barney Bones and ‘Stop Time’ with Glass Petals and Elohim, No Big Deal (Part 1) arrives with the announcement of Walker & Royce’s anticipated sophomore album, due out in 2024.
A rowdy 4-track introduction to the playful and cheeky spirit of Walker & Royce’s forthcoming album, No Big Deal encompasses the bombastic, no-holds-barred style that has shaped the duo’s sound. Emblazoned with the boisterous, unruly nature of their over-the-top signature, No Big Deal is expressed through the lens of Walker & Royce’s party-starting mindset. From the overzealous basslines of ‘Let’s Live It Up’ to the sharp, tech-driven synth stabs of ‘Cheap Thrills’, Part 1 is a sonic rollercoaster that features new collaborations with Indian-Canadian hip-hop artist Harm Franklin, South Central vocalist Barney Bones, and comedic musician Reggie Watts. Vocally-led and full of personality, Part 1 is as bold and brash as the duo themselves, and will leave listeners excitedly awaiting the next phase of No Big Deal.
Mike Ruby is a singer-songwriter from Toronto with a story that’s far from ordinary. He moved to New York at 19 to pursue a career in jazz as a sax player, receiving a full scholarship at the Manhattan School of Music. That education and exposure gave him a unique sense of musicianship that shines through his melodic writing to this day. After signing a record deal to a subsidiary of Universal Music, he began playing with Brooklyn-based synth pop band St. Lucia, which opened his ears to a realm of synth and dance-like possibilities. His first fully independent release, from debut EP You Wrote These Songs, was the single “Close” which broke Top 40 radio across Canada and on the Billboard charts.
His second solo EP, A Million You’s, consists of what-ifs, self discovery, and introspection. The emotive feature track “A Million You’s” encompasses all of these themes, taking the listener on a vulnerable journey through an emotional songwriter’s lens. Co-produced with Nathan Ferraro, an incredible songwriter in his own right, this raw lyrically driven single is complimented by real instrumentation which gives both the soaring melodies and visceral lyrics room to breathe, bringing you face to face with Mike’s inner monologue.

ringleaders and havoc seekers of SoCal’s surf-rock scene, Sun Room, release the second single from their upcoming EP, “Cut My Hair.” Quickly waltzing into overdrive, the cult-followed band’s latest offering is a rebellious, modern spin on the endless summer vibes of the 50s, all while knowing all good things come to an end. Upbeat while overwhelmingly aloof, the band can’t be phased when they’re taking things day by day – Stream.
Sun Room also announced that their At Least I Tried EP will arrive in full form on November 30. Today’s single and much of the EP were produced by one of the band’s biggest idols and influences from growing up in California, Zac Carper of FIDLAR – Presave At Least I Tried
The band’s front man Luke Asgian said, “’Cut My Hair’ is a song we’ve been jamming in the garage and at shows forever but it never felt done ‘til we recorded it this past time. We’ve played it at so many gigs and we were always changing it, but we finally landed on a version we were stoked on.”
He continues, “We took one of the classic chord progressions you’d hear in all the 1950s hits and then just played it faster and louder. Whenever we’re home in San Diego for the Summer, my hair always gets super bleached from being at the beach, and then whenever I get my first haircut after Summer, I look like a totally different person cause my hair gets way darker. The song is kinda about a summer fling that ends when Fall rolls around, the same time I usually cut my hair.

I’m very happy to have Judy on the album, and it was only right to record a video of the song she is part of.” The gentle, introspective track pleads with a former love to not forget the memories made together. It reflects on letting go of a relationship–leaving space for this pain, holding onto the positive memories and the deep care that still exists.
Southampton indie-rockers – REGENT – have released a new single “Liberation”, taken from their upcoming second album ‘Beggars Belief’ (due Spring 2024).
Fusing together blistering riffs, twanging guitar lines and a scorching live-ready energy, “Liberation” sees Regent deftly pay homage to the heady rock’n’roll of old while continuing to evolve their own idiosyncratic sound.
Produced and engineered by award-winning producer Chris Taylor, the new track was recorded at a friend’s studio in the band’s hometown of Southampton. A nod to the desire to escape from the confinement we often experience in our own minds, frontman Ben Rooke explains:
“”Liberation” is about freeing yourself and your mind from everything that goes on in this world. Sometimes life can make you feel like a prisoner, but we can all be our own revolution and be free…”
• VALÉ is back with a new bittersweet track, “the homesick song,” which delves into the emotions of leaving Baranquilla, Colombia, where she was born and raised, to pursue her music career in Los Angeles. This poignant ballad was created during a creative session with The Fund, Mark Johns, and Kate Morgan, and offers comfort to those feeling alone after venturing far from home. VALÉ is keeping busy through the end of the year, as “the homesick song (xmas version)” is soon to follow.
• “I hope this song comforts anyone who recently moved away from home and is feeling incredibly lonely. If you’ve gone through a breakup, a fallout with a friend or family member, or anything that makes you feel like you’re alone, just know you are not alone in this feeling.” – VALÉ
Diplo’s house and techno label Higher Ground further embraces the Afro house rhythms that are dominating dance floors around the globe with the release of Nitefreak and Emmanuel Jal’s “Gorah.” The track unites rising Zimbabwean star Nitefreak’s production with vocals from Emmanuel Jal, a South Sudanese artist, author, and former child soldier, who sings in Naath/Nuer, a language of the people of South Sudan and Western Ethiopia.
Gorah follows up Nitefreak’s previous release on Higher Ground, “Kamili,” with Francis Mercier, continuing Diplo’s mission to bring Afro-Centric rhythms to the global dance music community. With past releases including artists like DJEFF and Djibril Cissé, the label plans to continue supporting artists from the African diaspora into 2024. The track began with production from Nitefreak, who then shared the beat with Emmanuel Jal, an artist that he’s looked up to as a pioneer of the Afro house sound. Recorded in Kenya, Emmanuel’s lyrics deal with handling pressure, coping with ongoing global crises, and the importance of reaching out to support one another in challenging times.
“When I got sent the beat from Nitefreak and the Deep Root Records team, I listened to it over and over just to capture the emotions of the track. With the ongoing global crisis and how we get so busy and only worry about ourselves, I wanted to bring this to light. The lyrics pose to ask these questions regarding how life is treating you. How are you handling the current pressure? How are you coping? Questions to ask loved ones, friends, business colleagues, and people who we met in the past that we are in contact with. So it’s basically about reaching out to those loved ones and asking them how they are handling their daily lives.”
— Emmanuel Jal

A song that embodies the very essence of the band’s feel-good manifesto, “it’s been a minute” is a song simply about looking on the bright side of life and living it as an eternal optimist. As the band explain:
“The song is about being an eternal optimist, positive person in a world growing more bleak. The song references changes to nature, the journey through music and moving around, life in general and how you see how your journey of almost career and life freedom regardless of the financial goal compares to that of friends from college that followed a more traditional route. It’s a love cry to the world wrapped up in optimism, much like our band ethos, it’s about not worrying and escaping to where you feel happy and able to face anything and that’s what this song is all about.”
Awash with heat-haze woozy synths, sun-lounger reclined saxophone breaks, and spoken word couplets that roll as effortlessly as a summertime breeze, “it’s been a minute” is a warm welcome into the world of Isla Rico.
Aiming to transport listeners from the drudgery of real life and into a brighter place filled with “good tunes and vibes” aplenty, the band make their mark with their inspiring first studio collection. From the glass half-full optimism of “it’s been a minute” to the benefits of striking a positive work-life balance (“honey”), to losing yourself in the thrill of a proper night out (“maliblues”) and finding your personal paradise (“naranja”), the ‘Eternal Optimist’ EP is a sunny, danceable debut destined to put Isla Rico on the map. The full tracklist is as follows:

Following the disastrous Canadian wildfires of 2023, Montreal singer-songwriter – ALEX NICOL – shares his environmental anxieties with the new single: “Simple Fires”.
WATCH VIDEO HERE || STREAM HERE
“Simple Fires” reflects the concerns and realities of our shared, climate-connected world. The Canadian wildfires of 2023 saw several global cities (including Montreal and New York) report some of the worst air quality on record, causing widespread alerts and evacuations. The smoke not only impacted North America but also crossed the Atlantic, impacting the lives of Europeans. In response, Nicol ponders if what is done cannot be undone.
“The farther we come, the closer we get to destruction…” Nicol laments, “Simple fires can be mended, but not the kind that’s burning up in me”.
“Simple Fires” is accompanied by an animated official video by Quentin Delobel (Poppip Studio), which paints a moving picture of humans’ destruction of nature. Of the music video, director Quentin says, “I followed the feeling of child-like naïveté conveyed in the song and came up with this imaginary yet unfortunately familiar world – one that ends with a dark real life twist.
New York-based indie-pop artist Cade Hoppe returns with his new EP, ‘Just Look at the Moon,’ out today on all streaming platforms.
From heartfelt love songs (“Labels,” “Only Human”) to existential reflections (“Moon,” “Fresh Start”), the 7-track EP demonstrates his remarkable range — vocally, sonically, and lyrically. “I managed to get much more existential with this project, for better or worse,” he says. “The more I give to music and the pursuit of it, the more detached from reality I become, and there’s a lot of that in here.”
The EP features a range of musical guests and collaborators, like Rob Moose (Sufjan Stevens, Phoebe Bridges, Taylor Swift), Harper James (Eighty Ninety, James Bay, Aaron Taos), Bobby Hawk (Taylor Swift, The 1975, Florence and the Machine), and Jesse Blum (Twenty One Pilots, MisterWives, Nas) that amplify the record’s richly textured sound.
Following his 2021 EP ‘Tell Me How It’s Worth It’ and 2022 EP ‘Everything That’s Wrong With You,’ ‘Just Look at the Moon’ showcases Cade’s growing confidence as an artist, songwriter, and producer. In just a few short years, the 23-year-old has gone from writing songs in his bedroom to working alongside legendary musicians and producers. With his steadfast determination and undeniable talent, Cade Hoppe is one of indie-pop’s most exciting young stars.

London-based independent heavyweights – SPEARMINT – have shared new single “Older Cats 2”, ahead of their highly anticipated new album ‘This Candle Is For You’ (coming 17 November).

The new track will be available from 3 November both digitally and on limited-edition 7” vinyl alongside exclusive B-side “Let It Go”.
A fuzzy and subversive indie-rock song that celebrates the wonders of older cats, while reminding pet-owners that ageing felines shouldn’t be neglected in favour of younger kittens, singer Shirley Lee explains:
“The lyrics say it all: there’s no point going to a rescue centre if you’re just going to take a kitten. The older cats have plenty of life left in them and a lot of love to give, but their chances of finding a new home are much lower.”
A punky, squelchy romp through renegade guitars and jangling percussion, “Older Cats 2” captures Spearmint at their energetically infectious best. Alongside lead vocals from Shirley, the single also features Simon Calnan who sings the track’s middle section from “a cat’s point-of-view”.
The new track is accompanied by the B-side “Let It Go”, available exclusively on the 7” vinyl edition. One of the band’s favourite tracks that “so very nearly made it onto the new album”, it’s an earworm worthy tune that unfolds as a plea from a male perspective to “ditch the patriarchy and try another way”.
A Permanent Shadow, the musical collective around CP Fletcher aims to captivate listeners with his electrifying new single, “Brother.” This bold and intimate track officially launches on Friday, November 3rd, and promises to deliver a captivating sonic experience that showcases the artist’s unique sound and boundless creativity.
“Brother” marks a compelling expansion of A Permanent Shadow’s evolving musical catalog, skillfully merging elements of Indie-Pop and Post-Punk. Crafted around the absence of singer CP Fletcher’s brother, this single delves into emotionally-charged themes that strike a chord with the artist. “Brother” creates an introspective path for listeners to walk, contemplating life-altering scenarios, nostalgic moments, and the uncertain future.
Toronto-based, multi-platinum artist and producer elijah woods shares his new track, “last girl (ft. MacKenzie Porter),” out on all streaming platforms today.
“last girl” was originally released as part of wood’s bright orange everglow EP earlier this year. For the duet version, woods tapped rising singer-songwriter MacKenzie Porter to add her sweet country touch to the love song. It’s a truly stunning cross-genre love song that will appeal to both their audiences and beyond.
woods elaborates on how the collaboration came together: “As soon as I heard MacKenzie’s vocals I knew she would be perfect for ‘last girl.’ It was written with a blend of easy listening pop and country undertones. The song lends itself perfectly to a duet, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!”
“I’m such a fan of Elijah’s music and when he brought me this song, I knew I had to be a part of it,” MacKenzie adds. “It’s the perfect mix of honest country lyricism and dreamy-pop. I’m so excited to collaborate with another incredible Canadian artist.”
Izzy Raye was born and raised in Central New Jersey (yes, it exists), and is a NYC-based musical artist. She recently headlined shows at Baby’s All Right and Mercury Lounge. A remix album with different interpretations of her EP songs is currently in the works.
Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Irene has quickly risen to fame on various social media platforms, captivating her 2.7 million TikTok followers with her nonchalant and witty approach to short-form content. She has been affectionately nicknamed “Asian Rapunzel” due to her striking knee-length hair, a unique trait she humorously portrays in her content. As a classically trained musician, music has always been Irene’s true passion, and now she is working hard to pursue her dream professionally. Her debut single “mmm idk” received praise from places such as Earmilk, Sweety High, and more. At the tender age of 19, Irene has found an unwavering ally in her label, Unbound Entertainment. The label is committed to nurturing Irene’s talent from its early stages of development, ensuring her dreams become a reality. While Irene enjoys a significant presence on social media, she has courageously battled her own emotions and fears on her journey towards musical stardom. Unbound Entertainment is playing a pivotal role in Irene’s growth, offering an experience that has seen each trip to Los Angeles become progressively more enriching. These trips now encompass more studio sessions, reduced stress, fewer emotional breakdowns, an increasing number of press interviews, and, most importantly, a growing sense of confidence as an artist.
Irene’s label has adopted the “Asian Entertainment” approach in the United States, dedicated to working closely with Irene at a young age, essentially “training” her in the studio, and actively developing her music catalog. This investment underscores their commitment to unleashing Irene’s full potential as a music artist. Irene’s journey from a TikTok sensation to a promising music artist is one that continues to captivate her dedicated followers and has piqued the interest of many in the industry. Her commitment to her craft and the unwavering support of Unbound Entertainment promise to propel her to greater heights in the music industry.
“Love & Violence” encapsulates the entire soundscape of the record I have on the way. It’s an atmospheric, moody introduction to the relationship that this next project is about and feels like a fitting first page of the new chapter.
At its foundation, my single is about a romantic relationship where both parties have become more concerned with their own individual perspectives, opposed to the pursuit of a more wholesome definition of love.
The title illustrates the closeness of two words that would otherwise be thought as opposites. True actions of Love almost always revolve around empathy and sacrifice, whereas most actions of Violence are rooted in apathy and ego.
Changing tides hit the sides of this relationSHIP.
One of the first and last instruments in “Love & Violence” is akin to a boat’s fog horn, painting the picture of a ship navigating difficult waters. A metaphor for walking the fine line between selfishness and selflessness in a relationship.
The music video was shot and directed by The.97, famous for hit work with many XO artists.Hope you enjoy,
Sam Drysdale
3x GRAMMY Award/2x JUNO Award-winner Chin Injeti’s cathartic new album, VESSELS: Volume Three, was inspired by the art of collaboration and made through conversations and friendships. Produced mostly by Injeti aside from daysormay (who features on “Make You Understand,” the record’s focus track), a lot of the tracks deal with self-realization and remind its listeners that no one is truly alone.
Stream VESSELS: Volume One in its entirety + share the melancholic single, “Make You Understand” (feat. daysormay), now:

“Make You Understand” was inspired by a melody Injeti put on TikTok that he then sampled with daysormay. The title is about trying to make someone see you for what’s really happening in your life. Stylistically, the production is all about dynamics on and off/loud and soft in order for the lyrics to shine through.

International model, singer, actor and multi-lingual artist Anna Aya, has officially made Top 50 at Pop Radio with her debut single “Someone Else.” Linking up with GRAMMY® Award nominated multi-platinum producer Louis Bell (Post Malone, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Camila Cabello, Halsey) and 6x Japan Gold Disc Winner, multi- platinum producer Michael Africk (Mai Kuraki, Zard, Jordan Knight), “Someone Else” includes both Japanese and English verses. Released via Handcraft Entertainment and globally distributed by Virgin Music, the music video for “Someone Else” partnered with top tier brands including Fendi and Christian Louboutin.
Drawing on her Japanese upbringing, she asserts herself as a voice for her culture, remaining reverent of its nuances and traditions and also leveraging them to distinguish her on the international stage as a singular artist. Speaking with iHeartRadio, Anna explains “I have a lot of inspiration from the Japanese sound, which is very soft and has more of an emotional feel to it. I wanted to incorporate that into my music for both English and Japanese, which is why the song is bilingual. I incorporated the fun pop sound from the U.S. and the emotional part of it from Japan. The whole song is about finding your worth and saying that I don’t need anybody to approve me or validate me, I can do it for myself.”
