The Review: George Clooney Goes For Gold In The Adaption Of ‘The Boys in the Boat’

“The Boys in the Boat” is a movie that will leave you feeling inspired and uplifted. Directed by George Clooney, this Depression-era sports drama tells the story of a group of young men who find hope and glory when they become the USA’s choice to compete in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. The film is based on the 2013 bestseller by Daniel James Brown, and it is a gorgeous adaptation that is both entertaining and relevant to our current world.

The movie’s primary message is that success is not achieved by individuals, but by working together as a team. This is exemplified by the sport of rowing, where everyone in the boat must row as one, in unison and together physically and psychologically. The film’s portrayal of this message is both subtle and powerful, and it is sure to resonate with audiences of all ages.

The cast of “The Boys in the Boat” is excellent, with Callum Turner delivering a standout performance as Joe Rantz, a young man who finds himself on the University of Washington rowing team during the Great Depression. Turner’s portrayal of Rantz is both nuanced and heartfelt, and it is easy to root for him as he overcomes adversity and finds his place in the world.

Overall, “The Boys in the Boat” is a beautifully constructed period piece that is both inspiring and entertaining. It is a must-see for anyone who loves sports movies, underdog stories, or just great filmmaking in general. I highly recommend it! 🎬🍿
