James Gunn has officially revealed the Superman: Legacy production start date, stating the new film would begin filming early next year. In a recent message on the Instagram social media platform Threads, Gunn responded to a report on the film’s production date and logline. While Gunn said that the logline was inaccurate, he did confirm that production will begin in March 2024.
The lead role in Superman: Legacy is being played by David Corenswet, and Lois Lane will be played by Rachel Brosnahan. They’re joined by Nicholas Hoult, Skyler Gisondo, María Gabriela De Faría, Sara Sampaio, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, and more. The film is set to release on July 11, 2025.
