Hi Mercedes, love the name, can you share more about your childhood in Budapest? How did you get your amazing name and how did those early experiences influence your aspirations in the entertainment industry?

Hi guys, appreciate it.  It is pretty memorable because people associate it with the car brand!

My childhood in Budapest was a vibrant mix of culture and inspiration. I grew up in a suburban area with my parents and siblings. My dad was a passionate car collector and he cracked a joke once that if he had a daughter, her name will be Mercedes. Here I am, 26 years later. Growing up surrounded by creativity (my siblings had a huge influence on me) fueled my early aspirations in the entertainment industry. The artistic atmosphere at home ignited my love for performing, storytelling and creating content. I was always the different kid at the school, who couldn’t really sit properly for 8 hours straight.

What motivated you to start creating content on TikTok, and how did you manage to gain such a massive following?

I was motivated to join TikTok by the platform’s dynamic nature and the opportunity to showcase my creativity in a fun and engaging way. Gaining a massive following was a combination of consistent content creation, understanding my audience, and staying authentic. I believe the key was to bring something unique to the platform that resonated with viewers. I always try to be “relatable” to people with daily life hacks, jokes or educational videos on TikTok with my Eastern European background.

Your content on TikTok spans various genres, from comedy sketches to educational videos. How do you decide on the themes for your videos, and what inspires your creativity?

Choosing themes for my videos is a spontaneous process. I draw inspiration from everyday experiences, pop culture, and my Hungarian roots. Whether it’s a comedy sketch or an educational piece, I aim to create content that entertains, informs, and reflects my personality.

With over 4 million followers on TikTok and a substantial presence on other social media platforms, how do you engage and maintain a connection with your audience?

Engaging with my audience is crucial. I respond to comments, participate in trends, and share behind-the-scenes moments. Building a genuine connection involves being accessible and relatable. I want my followers to feel like they’re a part of my journey.

Could you elaborate on the process of moving to Los Angeles to further your career? What challenges did you face, and how did the change impact your content creation?

Moving to Los Angeles was a significant step in my career. The challenges included adapting to the very basics such as a new start, finding new friends, and a new environment. But it also opened up exciting opportunities.  The change impacted my content creation by exposing me to diverse influencers and collaborations.

Your top videos, such as “Dance Trend” and “Hungarian Is A Beautiful Language,” have garnered millions of views. How do you come up with ideas for these viral videos, and what do you think resonates most with your audience?

Ideas for viral videos often come from observing trends, language, and cultural nuances or through genuinely random moments when I shop or drive around. They just hit me in the head. I believe authenticity is key. Viewers resonate with genuine expressions and also learn new things whether it’s a dance trend or showcasing the beauty of the Hungarian language.

Apart from social media, you’ve ventured into acting with guest roles on shows like The Boys and Robyn Hood. How do you balance your social media presence with your acting career, and what do you enjoy most about each?

Balancing social media and acting requires careful planning. I prioritize my commitments and leverage social media to share my acting experiences. I love the immediacy of social media and the depth of storytelling in acting—they complement each other. I am currently auditioning for a bunch for new shows. Fingers crossed.

As someone who has successfully built a personal brand across multiple platforms, what advice do you have for aspiring content creators looking to establish themselves in the competitive digital landscape?

For aspiring content creators, my advice is to be authentic and find your niche. Whatever feels right in your heart and it feels like you can express your creativity or uniqueness through.

Can you share some insights into your content creation process? How do you stay consistent in producing high-quality and engaging content for your audience?

Consistency is vital, but don’t compromise your uniqueness. Engage with your audience, collaborate, and find whatever suits your personality.

Consistency in content creation involves planning, staying organized, and finding new trends. I prioritize quality over quantity, ensuring that each piece reflects my style.

What are your future goals and aspirations, both in terms of your social media presence and your career in the entertainment industry?

My future goals include expanding my presence on social media, exploring diverse acting roles, and possibly venturing into producing my content. I aspire to contribute positively to the entertainment industry and continue connecting with my audience on a deeper level. My goal for now is to book my next role and possibly make it on Netflix or HBO by the end of this year.
