Variety reports that Zachary Levi has been cast to lead Free Fall, a new rock-climbing action movie directed by Zöe Bell. Free Fall will be distributed by XYZ Films. The movie’s script was written by Sean Finegan and Gregg Maxwell. It’s set to begin filming later this year.
“The film tells the story of a father’s attempt to reconcile with his estranged daughter on a rock-climbing trip that turns deadly as an accident leaves them stranded hundreds of feet in the air,” Variety’s description of the film reads.
Bell is making her feature film directorial debut with Free Fall. She’s done stunt work on a number of TV and film projects including Zena: Warrior Princess, Iron Man 3, and Thor: Ragnarok, and also starred in a handful of Quentin Tarantino movies.
“This script is the perfect combo of heartfelt and heart-stopping,” Bell said iof Free Fall. “Between the producing team, the cast and the New Zealand crews, words don’t do justice to how thrilled I am to be bringing this film home.”
