Hulu’s Orphan is taking shape, with the recent additions of Dulé Hill and Sarayu Blue to the cast, starring opposite Ellen Pompeo and Mark Duplass. Pompeo will also executive produce the series in addition to starring. The eight-episode drama series, written by Katie Robbins, is inspired by the true story of Michael and Kristine Barnett whom begin to question everything about their adoptive daughter.

“As they begin to raise her alongside their three biological children, they slowly start to believe she may not be who she says she is,” the synopsis reads. “They start questioning her story, leading them to be confronted with hard questions of their own about the lengths they’re willing to go to defend themselves, falling into a battle that’s fought in the tabloids, the courtroom, and ultimately their marriage.”
