According to the Hollywood Reporter, The Maze Runner is getting a reboot from 20th Century Studios. Jack Paglen who wrote 2017’s Alien: Covenant, is currently front runner to write the new Maze Runner installment.
The Hollywood Reporter states that, the new Maze Runner movie “is not a redo of the story nor is it a direct sequel to the original trilogy.” Rather, the film will “make a sort of continuation of the story yet also return to the elements that made the first movie connect with its audience.”
Wes Ball, who directed the original Maze Runner trilogy, will also serve as a producer.
