A24 has announced it’s adapting Sundance breakout filmmaker Masha Ko’s horror short The Looming. A24, Square Peg and Causeway Films will team up with debut filmmaker Masha Ko to adapt her horror short The Looming, which Ko will write and direct the movie.
A24 will produce alongside Ari Aster, and A24 is to finance and handle worldwide releases.
“THE LOOMING is a horrific glimpse into aging and the fear of being forgotten by those we love. The film follows the story of Chester, a 70-year-old man who begins to be haunted by an eerie presence that only he can sense. Chester’s cries for help are ignored, pushing him to investigate on his own. As he unravels the mystery, he discovers a heartbreaking truth that could change everything”, reads the films description.
