Disney has released the trailer for Moana 2, giving us a first look at the highly anticipated sequel to 2016’s hit animated film. In it Auli’i Cravalho will return to play Moana, with Dwayne Johnson also returning to play the demigod Maui. The sequel is set to release in theaters on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
“Moana 2 reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”
