Variety reports that a M3GAN spin-off is on it’s way in the form of an erotic thriller named Soulm8te. According to Variety the film will follow a man that “acquires an Artificially Intelligent android to cope with the loss of his recently deceased wife,” the film’s synopsis explains. “In an attempt to create a truly sentient partner, he inadvertently turns a harmless lovebot into a deadly soulmate.”
Kate Dolan will direct the film, which is scheduled to release on January 2, 2026. Nolan also rewrote an original draft written by Rafael Jordan, while the story is being credited to James Wan, Ingrid Bisu, and Jordan.
