Wolf Creek director Greg McLean is currently making a new supernatural horror movie titled The First Exorcist. Deadline also reports that McLean’s Emu Creek Pictures is working with Mark Fennessy’s Helium on the new film.
Deadline also reports that The First Exorcist will be set during “Biblical times” and follow a mother as she goes “on a harrowing quest to save her daughter from demonic possession.” The plot synopsis further reads, “As their lives descend into a nightmare, the mother learns of a mysterious healer with the power to expel demons, and embarks on a dangerous race against time – encountering hostile Roman authorities on her perilous mission to find the healer and save her daughter’s life.”
