Lionsgate has confirmed that Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz will star in a new film directed by Marc Webb titled Day Drinker. Day Drinker is a thriller that follows the story of a cruise ship bartender who encounters a mysterious day drinker, leading both characters into a criminal underworld with unexpected connections.
Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, described Day Drinker as a film that “combines a highly commercial concept with wildly outrageous twists and turns all set in an incredible world” in a statement.
