A release date for The Housemaid has been announced. The new film is directed by Paul Feig, and it stars Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar, and Michele Morrone. Lionsgate announced that The Housemaid will open in wide release in the United States on December 25, 2025.
“In The Housemaid, Millie (Sydney Sweeney) is a struggling young woman who is relieved to get a fresh start as a housemaid to Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew (Brandon Sklenar), an upscale, wealthy couple,” the synopsis for the movie reads. “She soon learns that the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own.”
