Nosferatu is becoming one of the most talked about horror films of 2024, and now a new report from The InSneider’s Jeff Sneider, notes that director Robert Eggers has reportedly signed on to direct a sequel to the 1986 film Labyrinth.
In Sneider’s report, he states that Eggers recently closed a deal to co-write and direct the film. He’ll be working on the script with either his brother, Max Eggers, or Icelandic poet, novelist, lyricist, and screenwriter Sigurjón Birgir Sigurðsson, who he collaborated with on 2022’s The Northman.
He also suggests that Chris Columbus will produce the film alongside his daughter, Eleanor Columbus, and Lisa Henson of The Jim Henson Company. Brian Henson will executive produce. Sneider also stated that he’s heard the project will not be a remake, but he’s not sure whether it will be a direct sequel or something entirely new.
